Chapter 4

Lucifer

After I opened the door almost all the Wolves came in and surrounded Luna on the bed. She petted one and started swaying. I ran over and caught her just as she was about to fall off the bed.

"Luna!" I yelled as she was shivering in my arms. Probably the worst thing was that all the wolves were howling and crowding around us. I pushed them away and I started to have a weird sensation in my chest. I fell to the floor and as I started to pass out my dad came running in and poured a bucket of what I thought was cold water because it shocked me, as if it was electricity, but it was actually warm water, he dumped another bucket onto Luna and as soon as he did that I started to feel better. I started to stand up and felt a sharp stab of pain in my side. I fell back down clutching my side in pain, dad saw that I was hurt so he pushed the wolves aside and picked up my sister and set her on the bed. I gasped when I saw her wound. It was a large gash, about three inches long.

"Goodgreef. I thought that she was really going to change. That would have been really bad." My father said, grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around her side.

"Why Dad? Why would that be bad?" I asked, very worried.

"Well that would have been bad because you two are twins. So if she was a Wolfen then you would be too. When two twins are born as Wolfen and one of you changes the other will too. That's why the outlaws kidnapped her, that way they could use her to influence you to change and use you against the kingdom." He told me, finished tying the blanket around her.

"Oh, I know she is a Wolfen though." I said.

"Great." He said.

"So what do we do? Does that mean that we have to go everywhere together?" I asked him, worried.

"Yes, that does. After the ceremony you will have to go everywhere together. Also when you or her start to change the other one will start to change, that way you won't change a little bit after her, because if she does you will get injured very badly and if you change then she will get injured very badly." He explained.

"Oh that is really bad. Well then what are we waiting for?" I asked.

"We are waiting for her wound to heal or would you like to heal her?" My dad asked me. What did he mean by "or would you like to heal her?" Is there some way I can heal her? I never found out because as soon as I thought that the room started to spin and I fell to the ground and all the wolves ran to me and howled. As they did that I felt something rippling against my skin on my back. The last thing I remembered was searing pain in my shoulder blades and I passed out.
