In a secluded mansion, a wide awake Han Lixue walked down the stairs and saw Su Chuanli drinking water while Su Rushi was making hangover soup. She sat down on the white sectional and sighed when Su Chuanli started choking on the water.
"Overacting…" Han Lixue muttered as she reached out and patted his back. Su Rushi saw them and giggled silently in the kitchen, continuing to cook. Su Chuanli stopped coughing and immediately jumped on Han Lixue.
"Xue! Why didn't you tell me you were coming? Wait, are you moving to Bylyn? That's crazy!" Han Lixue pulled him off her and dragged him to the dining table when Su Rushi brought the hangover soup over. The younger girl then walked over to Han Lixue and lay down, putting her head on Han Lixue's lap.
"Wait up. Chill bro. No. I'm only here for work. I'll be going back in a while, so" she pulled Su Rushi up " It's both of your duty to show me around while I'm here." Su Rushi pulled out her phone and started furiously typing as Su Chuanli laughed happily and hastily finished his soup. Washing the bowl and putting it in the dishwasher, he sat opposite the two girls.
"Xue! We have to hold a class reunion then!" His voice deflated when She dismissed it with a wave of her hand.
"Almost everyone is in Europe or America and plus, I really don't want to meet most of the people here. I mean, we could meet Dylan, but that's it." Understanding what she meant, Su Chuanli pulled out his phone and started texting. Su Rushi, who had always been invested in their college lives interjected when she heard this new piece of information.
"You have a friend in China named Dylan? What's his Chinese name?" The poor little girl wasn't expecting what happened next at all.
"Zheng Tai" Han Lixue answered, scrolling through her phone casually. Su Rushi looked at her brother in awe and anger.
"You know Zheng Tai ?! Ge, You know Zhen Tai? Why didn't you tell me?!" Su Chuanli stared at his infuriated sister. Han Lixue saw the scene and giggled. Looking up from her phone, she smirked at Su Rushi.
"Rushi… You like him?" This sentence made Su Rushi red, resulting in Han Lixue erupting into laughter with Su Chuanli. Su Rushi looked at them extremely confused and curious as to why they were laughing.
"Haha! You really like him?" she stopped to catch her breath "Rushi! You have the worst taste ever!" Su Chuanli, who was laughing, but not rolling on the floor like Han Lixue explained it to the mildly offended Su Rushi.
"Xiao Shi, do you know how we became friends?"With his exaggerated pause, Su Rushi's expression slowly turned worse. "Su Rushi, your Zheng Tai is gay!" he continued laughing louder at Su Rushi's completely horrified expression. The shocked girl calmed herself down and took deep breaths.
"That's okay… He can have any preference he wants. It's not like we were dating or married or something..." She explained, but looked more like she was convincing herself. " I still thought I would know if he was…" Her voice faltered as She jogged upstairs "I'm staying here tonight". The two young adults stopped laughing soon after she ran upstairs.
"Too much?" Han Lixue questioned him.
"Nah. I know my sis. She'll be fine. Really! Trust me. She'll be fine." He reassured Han Lixue.
Sure enough, Han Lixue saw that Su Rushi seemed perfectly fine later. Su Chuanli had left earlier so she messaged him a thumbs up as a response to the question mark he had texted her.
In a private room in Chenin, the best bar in the city, a man checked his phone only to see a message from a mostly inactive number. Smiling at the message, he typed in the details and finished with a 'see you there!' with a couple more exclamation marks. He hadn't seen this friend of his in a while, even if they lived in the same country.
"Tai, what happened?" a husky voice asked. Tai looked up at the figure in front of him.
"Nothing. An old friend of mine asked to meet up later." Zheng Tai had a slight heart attack when the guy in front of him spoke. There was no way he was going to let him avoid the classmate who asked to meet. This issue needed to be solved, even if the other party wasn't directly involved. Surprisingly, only 2 years had passed since the whole fiasco, but there might never be a better opportunity than now. Calming down and hiding his thoughts, Zheng Tai continued. "Oh right, he might come near the end of our meeting, so you might see him". The figure nodded, uninterested. 'The usual, of course', thought Zheng Tai. 'It's not like I should have expected something different. 'Ah well, If he responded differently, I might actually have something to worry about.' Zheng Tai smiled at the thought of the reunion later
