The Two Walk Together on This “Normal” School Day!

Nothing seemed out of the normal as I woke up from the fantasy-like dream.

Anyways, my name is Hachi Kurosaki, an ordinary high schooler, or, I was until last night. I died in my sleep and became a vampire.

Now, I know what you might say, "Isn't this going to cause huge drawbacks?" and you would be right, if I actually cared for so-called "drawbacks."

"Hachi! Come down for breakfast!" my mother called down to me.

"One second!" I yelled as I put on my school uniform and fixed my hair in the mirror.

I lifted my lip to take a look at my canine teeth, and sure enough, there it was, a fang.

I clicked my tongue, "What if my little sister sees this?" I mumbled to myself.

Oh, to clarify, no, I do not have any deep, romantic feelings for my little sister. It's just that she is very young and very precious, I'd do anything to protect her smile, even if it meant killing someone. Well, now that introductions are over, I headed downstairs towards where my mom and little sister sat.

"Finally, Hachi, took you long enough." my little sister, Saguri, said.

"Sorry, sorry. Just had an extreme case of bed head."

My mom laughed, "Still, you should get down here quicker. You don't have long before you have to leave for school."

"Yeah, you're right…" I said as I put my hand behind my head, shaking it with embarrassment.

"Well, sit already, and eat," my mom said.

"Yes, ma'am!" I said as I sat down and gobbled all the food quickly.

Weird...ain't I only able to get nutrition from blood? Was all the books and movies fake?! Bro, that's kinda lame.

I finished my food, and stood up from the table. "Okay, well, I'm heading out!" I said as I ran outside the door with my bag in my left hand (left handed).

"Bye, Hachi," Saguri exclaimed as I left.

As I walked down the road to my school, I played around with my fangs. "Can I do something cool, now, or not..? And why the hell can I walk outside so casually? Shouldn't I be burning up...?" I mumbled to myself.

"Who are you talking to, Kurosaki," a female's voice came from behind, questioning my mumbling.

I turned around frantically. "No particular reason, Hinata."

"Mmm, you sure…?" Hinata hummed to herself as she leaned in at my sweating face.

"Y-yeah."

"Sureeee, I'll believe ya." Hinata said with a little smirk.

I let out a relieved sigh, "it'd be kinda bad if my secret got out, already," I thought.

"So, Kurosaki… shouldn't we get to school?"

"Oh, hell, I forgot!" I said as I quickly turned around and ran away from the position Hinata was standing.

"Oh, now you've done it, you prick," she exclaimed as she chased after me with an angry face.

"Hahaha," I laughed aloud. "Try me, then!" I said as I ran.

Suddenly, I made it to the school gates.

"What...the…hell?" I said to myself, "I wasn't even close to the gates when I started running from Hinata… how did I end up here?!"

Anyways, because of this - whatever this was, I had to wait for Hinata to catch up to me (which took about five minutes).

"Kurosaki. How. In. The. Living. Name. Of. God. Did. You. Do. That?" Hinata said with one eye open and one eye squinting, giving me a death stare.

"I don't know…?" I said with a shrug in my shoulders.

She pulled my face closer to hers, with that same death stare. My face was clearly getting uncomfortable, and I started sweating once again. Hinata looked harder and harder, then suddenly backed away and started walking ahead of me.

"Wait… why'd you stare for so long?!" I asked with huge concern.

Hinata didn't turn back around at me. Only saying, "Because I can, now let's go to first period."

I clenched my fist. "Yeah. Let's go." I said, quickly jogging up next to her.

She had a smirk on her face. She clearly felt pleased with herself at that moment. Better not take that away, ey?
