"Kurosaki…do you think we'll get out of here…?"
Nero said with worry in his voice.
It's been five days since they've been locked in here, yes. But, Kurosaki still kept it in the back of his mind that Mr. Scientist would come for them. That time hasn't come for them yet.
"I don't know, Nero… But, one good thing is coming out of this."
Kurosaki said with a yawn.
Nero looked confused and caressly flailed his arms around.
"And that is? How is anything good coming out of this?!"
"So the windows? How it's pitch black as soon as it enters the open world?"
Kurosaki said, pointing towards the windows.
"Yeah??"
"Why don't we try to smash it?"
Kurosaki said, just realizing it today that they were really stuck in a black abyss.
"Kurosaki, are you dumb?"
"Ah, whatever do you mean, Nero?"
"You tried to break open the door, it didn't work. What makes you think the window will work?"
Kurosaki stood up from his sitting position from one of the infirmary beds.
"Lookie here, Mr. Nero, windows aren't classified as doors (I think). So, I think that we can smash it with a piece of furniture, like, a curtain pole, for example."
Nero let out an annoyed sigh.
"...You know what? Fine, let's try it."
"Knew you'd come along—grab one of the poles."
Kurosaki said, already walking to a glass container holding different kinds of drugs (the medical kind).
"Fine, but, what are you doing?"
"Just watch."
Kurosaki finally made his way over to the glass container, and brought out his nails in its elongated form. He got ready, and slashed down onto the glass.
"Why did you do that?"
Nero said with a confused look, grabbing one of the thin curtain poles.
Kurosaki let out a grunt from one of the glass shards being stuck in my finger, he brought it out, which caused him some pain.
"To see if we could break glass."
"That doesn't make sense—...you wanted to make sure if glass would break in here to see if we could escape?"
"Now you're kicking your brain into gear!!"
Kurosaki said as he shook off the already healing wound, and walked over to Nero and the pole.
"When do you think we should do this?"
Nero said with a look of worry—he believed this would work, and would have huge drawbacks.
"Now."
Kurosaki said immediately after, grabbing onto the poll and pushing it forward with as much force his body would allow at that certain time.
The glass broke—hold up, the glass actually broke?!
Nero and Kurosaki both stared at the now shattered window, wondering what to do, the black abyss staring right back at them, tempting them to become one its inhabitants.
—They aren't that stupid of course—Of course, that's what they would like to think. But they slowly made our way out of that window—slowly moving, getting more, and more cautious as they stepped outside into the vast nothingness.
The first one that "stepped" out into that endless, empty vacuum was Nero (he was floating). Kurosaki was still inside, getting ready to do the same thing as him.
Of course, nothing seemed to go wrong until, like, five seconds later after he was climbing out of the window.
Kurosaki suddenly felt an extraordinary amount of strong, heavy wind blow towards him. Pushing him out into the endless black—towards the void.
He let out a yell of terror as he floated away from Nero—from the only source of human interaction he had. But, for some reason, his voice was unauditable. Kurosaki's fears started to become even greater as he realized that even talking was unable to pick up any sound.
"..."
That's all you could hear from Kurosaki, not a single word. Not even if someone pressed ear their ear right beside him.
After Nero was basically out of Kurosaki's sight with his silent screaming, as well, and after a few minutes, Kurosaki gave up. He didn't have any energy to yell, nor had any energy to try—hoping for the almost inevitable to happen—wanting Mr. Scientist to save me—wanting to feel something other than this endless void's touch (basically meaning: trapped). It made him look like a huge baby.
Kurosaki was sure that Nero had stepped inside already—not being thrown away by the wind like he did. Maybe, just maybe, hoping for Mr. Scientist to come already, and save him. But, he wasn't like an anime protagonist—he's Kurosaki Hachi, a vampire who has just been thrown into the void. Ready to be devoured by any natural causes that may end him.
But, a glimmer came into Kurosaki's eyes for a second as he saw something he didn't expect. A bright, unadulterated light.
Kurosaki tried to do a swimming motion towards the light, but because of the lack of, well, everything, it was basically impossible to control the direction of his body's movements.
The light was getting closer, though. Kurosaki thought he was slowly moving towards it, but also thought it was moving towards him. Kurosaki didn't care, though. He just wanted to get closer to whoever was creating the light.
Kurosakk soon was in range to see a humanoid figure within the light… It looked like they were looking at him.
As the light moved closer, and closer; and his hope started to get higher, and higher. It got within two arms reach of Kurosaki.
The humanoid figure walked towards him, and he could see their face—a girl with beautiful blonde hair was reaching her hand out to him. Indicating a "grab on" type of way.
"Come on. Let's get you out of here."
The blonde girl said with her hand in arms reach of Kurosaki.
Kurosaki grabbed the hand and got pulled into the light, finally out of this abyss he had been placed in. But...he was technically still in it? It confused him.
After a few moments of Kurosaki being inside the light, and the girl looking at him, he spoke up.
"T- thank you… I wasn't out there long, but, I still thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"No problem."
The girl said to Kurosaki, getting ready for another response.
"Well, anyways, my name...it's Silvia. Silvia Snow."
Kurosaki looked at the girl who called herself Silvia with confusion.
"Why are your ears all...y'know, pointy?"
He asked, thinking he already knew the answer.
"Oh, this. It's because I'm an Elf."
"Elf?"
Kurosaki said, getting a slight glimmer in his eye, once again.
"So, that's why you were insanely cute!!"
"Yea—what?"
The girl replied with a squint in her eye.
