"The neighbors are starting to get suspicious," said Ayai, struggling with the groceries as she came in through the door.
Sakura tore her eyes away from the TV screen and rushed over to help.
"Usual noise complaints, so I just told them I had family over for a while," she continued as they put everything on the counter and started to sort through them.
Sakura frowned as she listened to how Ayai dealt with the nosy neighbor, telling them that her family would be staying for a while due to a fire in their old home. Once Ayai was done speaking, Sakura didn't say anything, putting things away silently.
"I know you're thinking something weird," said Ayai. She decided to keep the beef out. She felt like ramen today.
Sakura sighed.
"Do you think-"
"No you're not a burden," said Ayai immediately. She left the rest of the groceries to Sakura, and took out a pot to fill with water.
