Something wasn't right.
I stroked my chin, floating around the chandelier, frowning. The seals were all perfect, if I said so myself. I had corrected all of Ms. Kang's little mistakes on this.
So why wasn't it working properly?
This was the problem with magic. It was temperamental, moody. You could set up all the parameters right, and something would still go wrong because you didn't consider the effect of the temperature or how seals would react with one another, or something really dumb like where the planet was located in Absolute Space at the time of activation. This was why it was always better to tie enchantments to relative locations instead of just leaving it alone.
