I watched as she knocked back against the shelf, surprised that there was no more room left to back up. Internally, I sighed. Did she really think that she could beat me when she still reacted to my aura like this?
Then again, I suppose I had to consider that my appearance was quite a surprise to her. After all, there was no way that she would know that I hadn't actually killed Alice Kang, but instead used her to fuel the Castle, trapping her in an eternal torment. A good friend of mine back in my previous world once said that death is the end; there is nothing more you can do once someone is dead. Better to have them alive and suffer, making them wish they were dead instead.
Now that I think about it, I think people used to call him a Demonic Lord or something like that. Huh. Weird.
"H-how?" Irade stammered, snapping me out of my reverie. "H-how did you..."
"Didn't I say that Alice was my prisoner?"
