July 26, All Over the World
Zero casualties.
That was the surprising statistic that had been and was still being broadcast over the world by the news, social media, and literally everyone.
Despite the Castle falling out of the sky and crushing what experts were estimating to be about a third of the buildings on Manhattan, including a portion of Times Square, there had been zero casualties. Of course, the American government was trying to spin it as their forward-thinking evacuation policies that had led to this miraculous outcome. Other governments had other ideas.
Surprisingly, the biggest opponent to the US's narrative was the UK and Japan. The UK condemned the US for their complacency with allowing the Demon Patrol take over so much of their lives. The US responded by pointing out that they did try to take on the Demon Lord, but it had been futile.
