Beth felt her father looking at her and tilted her head cutely smiling at him with a finger in her mouth, he would have to break this habit no matter how cute she was. Teddy walked over putting her in his lap and smiles at her, "Hey chipmunk, would you like to sing with me?"
Her eyes went wide but then she pondered over if she should do it or not before nodding her head, "Yes let's sing lots of songs."
Teddy couldn't help but chuckle, "Okay I will sing one first then you and then we can sing one together." after seeing her nod he thought over a song in his head it was an original he made in his past life that he wanted to try out with his new voice. He didn't have any instruments right now so he lightly tapped the table making the best and humming the melody softly.
"Since the day I was born
I knew that I was an outcast
my life was scorn
and I was stuck drowning
Like a tidal wave crashing down
I look at the world with scorn and a frown
while the angels were singing
the devil was weeping
making me smile was their job
but I was taken to soon
now I'm looking like the outcast
standing here all alone
ooooooh why can't they handle me
why can't they save me
standing on the outside
I'm more like a clown
the outcast, the outcast, the outcast
when will I stop being
the outcast.....
my life was insane
my heart was in pain
but standing on the outside
maybe I'm not really the outcast.
ooooh so tell me why can't they handle me
why can't they save me
standing on the outside
I'm more like a clown.
will someone please look my way
will someone please take this pain
will someone hold me in the rain
why am I still the outcast."
Teddy ended the song looking at Beth who was quite the whole time he had put his heart and sorrow from his past life into this song making it raw and real, but he didn't expect Beth to cry. Panicking he quickly wiped her tears away, "Chipmunk please don't cry tell Daddy what's wrong I will make it go away."
What he didn't expect was for her to jump into his embrace saying, "Don't worry daddy I'm here you won't be an o-ou-....outcast anymore."
His heart clenched hearing her words but it was only for a moment because he knew from this day he wouldn't alone anymore because he had hear by his side, what he did know and would see in the future his song 'Outcast' would hold #1 on the charts for a straight year bringing many people from the brink.
Teddy kept reassuring Beth until she finally calmed down so he decided to switch to something more upbeat which she sang along to even when she didn't know the words.
"Throw your hands in the air
because you don't really care
stomp your feet on the ground
because you want to be a clown
being silky is the game
and you say you don't know my name
well let me tell you people
I'm the apple stealer
now clap your hands on your pants
oh wait I don't know how to dance
well take it from me
I'm the coolest MC ( RepeatX5)"
Beth was dancing all about that she forgot the earlier song and giggled happily since she could spend this happy time with her dad like this, it was always her dream. Teddy ended up sing five more songs three he got from his past life and two that Beth that requested that he had to look up. He was ecstatic to learn that his voice was heavenly and even if Beth was biased and praised him for it, he was still happy that he could do this.
His choice to be in the limelight isn't just because he wanted to be a celebrity but also because he for once wanted to be the one people watched and listen to. His other reason which made him hold on to this fact was because he now had a daughter to take care of and he didn't want her to see him as anything but the hero of her eyes.
It was time to start his journey of being the best Father/Celebrity/Husband? he didn't have it all planned but he would eventually not everything came all at once.
