Darkness surrounded him.
The fragile soul shivered in the darkness, and he could feel the anger from his master emanating from the boundless abyss.
"You messed up!"
A voice, as resonant as a great bell, erupted, causing the fragile soul to curl up.
"I did not receive the offering you promised, instead, I lost my subordinates!"
The darkness began to churn, and then, a terrifying face, ablaze with bright red flames, emerged from within. Before it, the fragile soul seemed as insignificant as an ant, ready to be swallowed whole with a mere opening of its mouth.
"Please, my master, give me another chance, this was just an accident!"
"Oh, my lovely servant."
Hearing the soul's plea, the flaming giant face revealed a mocking smirk.
"That's not surprising, after all, accidents are somewhat inevitable in this world. However, I cannot tolerate those who use this excuse to shirk responsibility..."
"This, this was truly an accident, my humble master!"
