Fan Zhongxi was genuinely saddened, but there was nothing he could do. Aging and death were part of human nature; at his level, there was no fear of death. The regret stemmed from his inability to fulfill his mission.
It was astonishing that such a large corporate group could not find a single person truly capable of significant responsibilities.
"Mr. Fan, those individuals are also quite decent. With another two years of training, they will certainly be capable," said a shareholder from the board of directors with a smile, "After all, they aren't you. They haven't experienced as much, and they can't be expected to reach that level immediately."
"I am well aware of that, but I don't have much time left. You should understand that at our level of business, it's no longer about making money," sighed Fan Zhongxi, "We are entrepreneurs; we need to have a sense of social responsibility. We consider matters far beyond the individual - we are responsible for society as a whole!"
