Chapter 109: He Doesn't Like the Too Quiet Chi Huan

Mo Shiqian's stride did not falter as he took Chi Huan's hand and passed by her, heading straight down the stairs.

The black Gust was parked in a dimly lit area, where the man, both gentlemanly and naturally, opened the passenger door for her before walking around to the driver's side.

They had driven for a while.

The interior of the car remained silent, with Chi Huan looking out of the window at the ever-changing scenery, seemingly lost in thought.

The man's deep voice broke the near rigid silence, "Are you unhappy?"

Chi Huan snapped back to reality, retracting her gaze and replied softly, "No."

He stated flatly, "You haven't spoken."

She replied, somewhat amused, "Can't I be silent?"

"No, you must have a lot on your mind."

Mo Shiqian was a man who enjoyed tranquility; he disliked people chattering in his ear, but he also disliked Chi Huan being too quiet, especially when it was out of character for her.

Chi Huan pursed her lips and fell silent again.
