16. Recruiting Talents

The Purple Dragon sect was a top-tier sect in the East Continent. They persist for a long time through tears and blood. The competition in the cultivation world was harsh. To remain as the top sect, they need to recruit various talents to the sect every five years.

They do this to nurture the main force. The stronger the disciples the more resource they obtain.

The more its disciple's cultivation could reached the more glory they would achieve.

To focus on the quality of the disciples, elders in the sects are tasked to train, advise, and babysit their disciples with care. Therefore, the sect adopted the 5-year generation gap between disciples.

Merit points were the currency used in the sect operations while spirit stone was a salary reward to each disclose. Additionally, various tests and quests are issued on the mission board allowing disciples to earn extra merits and spirit stones.

Each year there would tournament that provides generous rewards and opportunities for disciples to be recognized and earn more wealth. Also, these tournaments would be used to scale the disciple's quality.

As the ranking in the sect, disciples would start from outer disciples then progress through time to become inner disciples and then they would be able to become core disciples of the sect. However, some disciples would become inner disciples directly through pure talent in cultivation. On the other hand, some disciples would not progress in rank and even drop to become servants of the sect.

Outer disciple's talent is mostly average or slightly above average. If out there had extreme talents, they would be personally recruited by sect elders. Sect elders would be sent out to various locations in the continents on a mission to recruit disciples. These talents would become inner disciples.

There were also some exception rules in recruiting disciples. For example, various top families could make donations to the sect and then their son or daughter would have a chance to enter the sect. These disciples were called guest disciples.

Later if their cultivation improved, they could also become inner disciples and core disciples. Guest disciples would also have support from their families with many resources even above-average talent would have some progression compared to poor disciples from the common family. But that was rare, as the cultivation of talent acts as an important factor.

In the center of a square of Red River City, a huge arena was being built. This would become a place for a testing place to recruit new disciples. Various sect elders who have to recruit new disciples would be attended.
