Two more weeks of the same routine. Ada would work and train Zack and Jessie during the day, and spend the nights with Vincent. They had not yet sealed their bond and marked one another. They had also not done anything more than kiss and feel one another. It was hard to do anything knowing that his parents were always listening and waiting for Ada to mess up.

With autumn fast approaching, the harvesting of the summers crops was nearly over. Everyone who did the harvesting or preserving of the food was getting busier and Ada found that she needed more help from Zack and Jessie. She was still training them during the day when she worked, which meant that she didn't ways have time to meet the quota set for her for the day.

The other people in the fields had noticed what the three were doing and while none of them said anything, Ada knew they had told Vincent's parents. They had spoken to her and them about it, but still she did it. They were getting really good and when they mixed it in with their normal training, they were almost unbeatable. Their eagerness to learn is why Ada refused to stop teaching them. The more she taught them, the more they wanted to learn.

It was finally time for the sutures in her back to come out, so Emily was there for a visit. Ada was excited since she had not seen her since her trial. Ada told her about everything that has been going on since she was there last.

"So they are learning to fight like rogues?" Emily asked.

"More like learning to fight against rogues." Ada replied. "If more packs can easily fight them off, then there will be less wolves like me." She pointed out. Emily smiled gently and hugged her from behind.

"You have the biggest heart. Once the Alpha can see that, they will accept you." Emily said to her, Ada shaking her head.

"Its going to take more than that for them to accept me. Most of the pack still avoids me. So far only four of you have really decided to gave me a chance." She said. Emily shook her head as she pulled the last of the sutures from Ada's back.

"Well, that is done. Now it's just a scar." She stood, packing up her stuff.

"One more to add to my collection." Ada joked as she pulled her shirt back on. Ada walked Emily outside where Zack and Jessie were waiting and they waved to Emily as she left. The two walked Ada to one of the large fields of vegetables and she once more had them run threw the drills she had taught them. They were getting good and she was feeling confident in their abilities. She decided that after she trained Vincent, the four if them would all be the first line of defence against rogues. All she had to teach them now was now to fight as a wolf, and then how to fight against wolves. They were going to be ready for a raid.

That night after her and Vincent had eaten, they snuck out of his house and went into an orchard not far away. Now that she was healed she could start to show him a few things.

"Where should we start?" He asked, Ada thinking about it for a few moments.

"Well we will have to wait for you to be able to feel the presence of others. You can feel me all the time, so that wont work. Instead, I will show you how we fight." She said to him, letting out a breath.

"I wont go easy on you." Vincent said to her, a grin coming to Ada's face.

"Good. Because I wont go easy on you." She replied, then she darted in at him. He brought his arms up to block a swing for his face, but she swung low instead and caught him in the ribs. He took a step back, surprised. She went at his again, kicking at his thigh. He managed to deflect his left with his hands and went for a punch in her face. She ducked under his arm and surged forward, tackling him to the ground.

It all happened very quickly, and though Vincent was fast, he could not predict her moves and as she sat on his cheat with a hand on his throat, he could not help but be impressed.

Ada helped him to his feet and they went through the motions of how she did what she did. She then explained why they had to fight that way. She showed him a few more moves before they returned to the house and went to bed.

The next three days went that way. On the night of the fourth, Ada and Vincent were sparring. He was quickly picking up on the chaotic fighting style and was better able to deflect or block her attacks, but he was still having a hard time landing a hit on her.

She went in for a low kick on Vincent when she heard a number of footsteps headed their way. She jumped back away from him and paused, perking her head up. Vincent had made a move to follow her, but stopped when je saw her and listened. He hadn't noticed the footsteps, but he turned toward them as they got close.

As he saw that it was a group of five, and they all turned out to be men, he put himself between them and Ada.

"Move aside Vincent." It was one of the older wolves. He ran the pack trading post. Behind him were a couple farmers and two of his fathers guards. Vincent narrowed his eyes and stood his ground.

"No." Came his reply, growled out as a warning. The five hesitated, but didn't move.

"She is under the protection of the Alpha and the Luna. Being here like this looks almost like you are wanting to cause trouble." Vincent said to them.

"No trouble. Just looking to remove a stain from the pack grounds." The Male in the front said.

"That is my mate you are talking about." Vincent snarled, his hands balling tightly into fists as he took a threatening step toward them. It was getting more and more tense. Either something or nothing was going to happen. Either way Ada had to step in.

"So all five of you men plan to attack a woman?" She asked, sounding quite borde. All eyes fell on her. She had her arms folded, a relaxed posture about her.

"A rogue." The lead Male seemed to correct, looking quite proud of himself.

"Still a woman. And I have not run with rogues since I got here. I have been following all the pack rules and not once have I tried to harm anyone." She said, the Male seeming to grow angry.

"Liar! After you started your work you threatened my daughter! She was so panicked she did all she could to get away and managed to fight you off with a knife!" He roared. Vincent stilled and tensed, Ada didn't respond.

"I guess that answers who stabbed me. But I never threatened anyone. I've been staying away from most members of the pack to give them the space they need. SHE came after me. Stabbed me in the back and ran. She never gave me a chance to defend myself." Ada told him, the man seemed to be on the verge of exploding.

"You knew she'd attacked Ada and you said nothing!?" Vincent yelled. The Male was not looking at him.

"You and the Alpha are clouded. She may have once been an ally but not any more! She is a threat and she has to be taken out!" He yelled back, lunging forward. The other four did as well.

Vincent managed to intercept two of them as they all transformed mid jump. Everyone but Ada. She placed her legs apart and lowered her arms, waiting for the lead Male to get close.

She snapped her hands.up and grabbed his upper and lower jaw as he drove at her with his teeth. She used his momentum to spin around, swinging him as she did and she threw him into the other three wolves, knocking them all to the ground. They jumped up and all of the. darted at her from different directions. She jumped.over one and grabbed the front legs of another as she landed on the ground, sending them crashing into the ground face first.

The third snapped at her leg, but both feet came out and caught them in the face. She heard more feet and then there were two more wolves. She knew these scents. Zack and Jessie.

She was now faced with two wolves as Zack took one of the three against her and Jessie helped Vincent. The two with her wasted no time in going for the kill. They wanted this over with quickly. Seems it was easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

After rounds of Ada beating the wolves and the others keeping g the rest of her attackers off her, Ada smelled and heard more wolves coming. But she didn't stop. She knew they needed to see this. They needed to know, and when she caught a glimpse of them as she dove over the lead wolf, she knew they understood.

"Enough!" Came the voice of the alpha, Joseph.

"Just what is going on here!?" He demanded as his mate, Luna Amy, went over to help her some and Jessie up off the ground.

"Forgive the disturbance, Alpha. This rogue attacked us on our walk and we were defending ourselves." The lead Male lies poorly. Ada said nothing and didn't move from her spot on the ground.

"Liar!" Vincent roared making a move to leap at the man, but his mother and Jessie held him back. No one moved as the alpha stood there. A far away look came to all their faces and Ada knew they were conversing in their minds, through the link of the pack.

It was several long minutes before Joseph finally looked at Ada.

"What happened?"

"I was teaching Vincent to fight like a rogue. If he gets attacked again, he will have a better chance to survive if he knows how they fight and can fight like them. I've been teaching Jessie and Zack too. These guys showed up to kill me." The male leader.made to say something, but a hard glare from Amy stopped him.

"Why would you teach them all to fight like that?" Joseph asked.

"Because I care about them and dont qant them to die to the rogues. I know how they fight and think. They never fight dairy and almost always go for the kill. They try to make the fights quick and bloody. If more pack wolves could stop them, or put up a better fight, they would be less likely to attack." She replied honestly.

Joseph knelt down and held a hand out to Ada, helping her to her feet.

"Pragmatic... Just like your mother. She would be proud of you. Passing in what you learned to help others." He said to her, Ada feeling grief wash over her. She lowered her eyes and nodded her head.

"Thank you, Alpha. I strive to make my family proud." She replied in a quiet voice.

They all walked back to the house of the Alpha. Those who had attacked Ada were to be punished and Ada was given a new job. Vincent, Zack, and Jessie were going to help her train everyone in the pack how to fight like rogues. Ada knew it was because of more than just the skill the Alpha had seen. Je was tense and was too eager to have her teach, even with so many still not trusting her or just wanting her dead. Something else was happening and it was forcing his hand. A feeling of foreboding settled into her chest.
