After getting all the resources we needed and prepared the house it was getting late and it was time to call it a night. The thought of there being a paranormal entity in our house sickened me. The main question was is it hostile? but are there ever good spirits haunting a house?
"Foster come on" , Abigail said from the top of the stairs. She had already prepared herself for bed and I couldn't digest the information that was roaming around in my mind. I fidgeted so much it was clear that I was more nervous than a new high school transfer student without friends.
"Coming" I said but I just wanted to stay where I was. Sleeping wasnt really an option for me tonight. I heard Abigail's footsteps as she came down the stairs and I thought to myself how did I get myself into such a situation.
"Babe come on, lets go get some rest we had a long day" she said. I stood up leaving possibly the most prettiest butt print on the couch.
"Can you relax!" Abigail said as I got into bed after brushing my teeth and getting into my pyjamas. I did not respond and I noticed her sad face and her eyes were tearing up.
"Sigh. Come here" I said as I pulled her closer to me. I always sleep on the left side, its a habit I grew up as a kid. She placed her head on my chest and I just stared at the ceiling with my hands behind my head. It got a bit chilly and I pulled some blankets to cover Abigail up. "Just one night" I whispered to myself to try and calm down. With all these thoughts racing in my head I swear I could hear sounds. I took my phone and plugged in some earphones to drown the noise of my thoughts. Upon closing my eyes everything went silent despite me blasting music in my ears. I took the headphones and sat up, shaking Abigail off me. I couldn't hear anything.
"You should get some rest" Abigail said and I touched my left ear and she looked puzzled. "Foster get some rest look at the time. Yawn." I looked at the clock and it was 1 a.m and I wondered how time passed by so quick.
"Alright let me go get some water my throat feels dry" I said as I got off the bed. I went bare foot in case I heard footsteps and assumed it was just me. Everything seemed fine but I was on high alert. I opened the fridge and just looked inside with no purpose because I was lost in my thoughts. I walked towardsd the tap to fill my cup with some water because that is what I came here for anyway. Near the sink there were washed dishes we used earlier. This one shiny pot had its bottom up and it was facing me I could see my own reflection. I examined my face and I saw bags around my eyes and I knew I needed rest. I turned the knob and water started flowing. I filled my cup, drank up and closed my eyes to clear my head. After turning the knob once again I looked at the pot's bottom and there it was. It stood 4ft tall with a white night dress that had sharp ends or we could say spikey ends at the bottom. I did not move and almost did not breathe either but I shifted my gaze to the outside and back to the pot and it was gone.
I rushed upstairs and when I got into our room I was met with silence. 3a.m the clock displayed. I quickly looked at my wrist watch that was on the bedside table. It was only 15 minutes until 1a.m. Time moved faster in the house than the actual time used globally. Thats when I realised Abigail was not in bed. I headed to the bathroom because the walk in closet was wide open and no human figure inside. As I opened the door I found Abigail staring intensily at the mirror by the sink and she looked at my reflection and rushed into my arms. I created some distance between us and looked her in the eye only to see the terror in her eyes. Telling by the droplets on her face it seemed she came in here to wash her face but most of the water had dried.
"How long have you been staring at that mirror?" I asked but I got no response from her. She moved her eyes around in the bathroom but said no word.
"Abigail say something!"
