When she awoke she was in her human form, sunlight was shining through the canopy they had slept through the entire night. She lifted her head which was resting on Caith who was still a wolf. She looked straight ahead and saw the woman with white hair from her dreams. The white dress that clothed her was burnt around her chest and arms. Her purple eyes were visibly shocked looking at the woman with red hair and angry green eyes.
"You Bitch," Sionna said und her breath while approaching her. The pale woman struggled against the tree to stand up right.
"You really weren't much fun compared to him," she gasped finally able to stand using the tree as support.
"Or so I thought," she replied her violet eyes shining menacingly. She appeared weak and fragile yet she carried herself like she was someone of amazing abilities. Sionna's mind told her to be careful but there was a certain anger fuming inside her that she couldn't ignore.
"I hope for your sake this is a dream." He replied reaching the woman and grabbing her by the throat.
"Oh it won't be that easy," the woman gasped and turned into a black purple smoke in Sionna's hands. She whirled around and saw the woman appear in a cloud of smoke over Caith. A danger in her hand pointed towards the sleeping wolves chest.
"Caith!" Sionna screamed and dashed toward them, reaching the woman right before the knife touched his fur. Only to collide with the tree he was resting against.
the women appeared again a ways away from them. She shook Caith and stood over him.
"He won't wake up," she replied eyes smiling.
"Why not?" she asked through gritted teeth.
"He's under my spell, he will only wake when he realizes what is happening." She smiled exposing bright white teeth. The irritation in her soul burned with a sort of passion she had not experienced before and she felt the gem around her neck hum. She let the emotions tumbling inside her burn, she felt as though her body was on fire. Then Sionna's whole body started to glow her iris and pupils were swallowed by the whites of her eyes. Her hair seemed to be actually on fire as her body lifted from the ground. And she pointed her hand at the stunned woman cowering in fright.
"What the hell are you," she asked backing away from Sionna. The fiery woman as she spoke in reply.
"I have no idea," said and blast of white magic erupted from her finger tips striking Kaori in the chest. She screamed as her body was struck with the light and a hole burnt into her chest. A thick purple liquid soaked her white dress and it took Sionna a moment to realize it was blood. Gently Kaori touched the liquid with her fingers before being brought to her knees. Fear filled her face as her hand covered in purple blood started to age. The previously young and youthful woman suddenly became wrinkled and old. So rapidly she almost thought she did another vanishing trick.
"How.." she muttered before falling face first into the ground. Sionna felt the earth under her feet as fell. The emotions that had boiled over had been released, and the glow to her body disappeared. The only indication of what happened to her was the slight hum of the necklace. She turned to Caith who was still fast asleep.
Quickly Sionna turned into a fox and tried to shake him with her small little paws. When he opened his eyes a sense of relief flooded over her.
'We need to get going, now!' She said internally and Caith rose nearly knocking Sionna over who still had her paws on his shoulder.
'Who's that?' Questioned Caith looking at the old woman with a hole through her heart.
'She's a basty, she kept us asleep longer than normal and tried to kill me. So I killed her.' She replied causally reaching into the small bag with her snout and pulled out some food to munch on. Caith approached the woman and Sionna noted his lack of limp in his step.
'How did you kill her exactly?' He said studying the fatal wound.
'Not sure, I just did.' She replied her mouth full of a fruit tart.
'You are right we need to get going.' Caith said suddenly very serious. Walked back over to Sionna and the bags.
'Get back into human form,' we need to move fast. Sionna nodded in reply and quickly changed and dressed. Then she pulled some cured meat from the bag.
"Eat this," she said holding out and he reluctantly took it, eating it in a single bite.
'Now get on top of me.' He said and she climbed on with the bags. As soon as she was all settled he started to run.
The woods flew past them in a blur when suddenly he came to stop. Before them was a giant monster without a head. The Pugot named Kang was standing in the shadows of a massive tree.
'I am deeply sorrowed to do this,' the best said to itself, but both of them could hear him.
"I am guessing we ran out of those stones." Sionna mumbled quickly getting off of Caith. Then she heard a distant sound of horse hooves behind them.
'They are coming, we need to get him out of our way so we can run.' Caith said eyeing up the monster before him.
"How are we supposed to do that without hurting him?" She asked as the Pugot reached down to swipe at the pair and they narrowly avoided it.
'I am not sure.' He replied honestly launching himself at the giant. He hit him with such force that it knocked the beast over. Instantly the ground shook from the force making trees sway slightly. The horsemen approached rapidly echoing through the forest.
The monster pushed Caith off with so much force that he went flying into a tree snapping in half and it came crashing down on him.
Sionna ran towards the giant stashing towards its leg. The blade turned it usual faint blue and it went through the monsters leg cutting it to the large white bone.
A horrendous agonized sound came from the beast and looked at the small woman in a green dress. He pulled his leg back and kicked. Sionna held onto the dagger as she was launched into the air landing hard into a tree making it shake violently.
She could feel the broken ribs healing as she laid their for a while catching her breath. The sound of galloping horses became louder. at the sound fear started to fill her heart. The headless monster got up and started to approach her. Bam! A large black blur slammed into him so hard he went flying into another tree making it fall over. Caith stood there teeth bared.
'Sorry about that,' he told the giant.
'And I am sorry about this,' thought getting up and charging at Caith. The black wolf braced himself but when the headless beast collided with him he still slid back. His claws leaving marks in the soil.
