Sionna, Caith and Yaatra stood at the mountain summit. Moving and manipulating the mountain below them.
Sionna's cheeks felt hot as she imagined her mothers hand on them. Her voice echoed in her ears telling her she loved her. She looked at Caith who was being lectured about wording or posture and her whole body felt warm. Happiness and love filled her body to the brim. The earth beneath her feet seemed to be an extension of that love and joy. An extension of herself.
Days went by and Yaatra seeing her master it quickly decided it was best to move on to water.

Dark water licked the sandy beach. A cool breeze played with the salty waves, then the waves white of the waves were illuminated. A bright blue pillar consumed the sandy shores. Towering into the sky.
From it emerged a cloaked woman with a sword on her hip. Ciall's green skin looked strange in the blue light as she emerged followed by other soldiers and figures. Among them Idris, her eyes completely black. Her wand was attacked to her hip on her black dress.

"Father, Sionna, look!" Said Caith.
The pair looked into the distance and saw a blue light penetrating the sky far away.
"What is it?" Asked Sionna.
"A portal," Yaatra replied. "They know where we need to go to reverse the curse."
"What do you mean?" Sionna replied.
"The sea of darkness is where the light is coming from. We need to reach it to reverse the curse." He replied worry filling his wrinkled face.
"We can take them on we have done it before." Sionna replied.
"What if they have a trap set up then what?"
"That is how they first captured me, but I didn't know how to use magic back then."
"If they capture Sionna they won't be able to mark her, but if they capture Caith they could mark him and have you both."
"And of course it's right by water, the one element of magic I have yet to learn." Sionna sighed.
"Let me debrief you on water magic and we will devise a plan while we are at it."

"Set the stones up along the parameter!" Ciall shouted and the mercenaries got to work. A pair of men were placing stones when one trapped the other. The man who froze his friend began to laugh.
"Do you think this is a game?" Ciall screamed at them.
"There is a giant wolf the size of a fucking catapult and you two are giggling at each other like a bunch of girls." She kicked one of the stones out of the way releasing the man.
"You are all going to die if you keep this shit up." She said moving on to yell at someone else.
"I wonder what her deal is," asked the first man.
"I don't know but I wish Demarcus was still here, he always made things fun." The second replied going back to placing the stones.
"Yeah but he could be a real dickhead sometimes."
"What do you expect from a half urban elf? They can be such annoying fucking things." He continued.
Ciall could still hear the conversation. And at the last sentence her palms righted into a fist. She could feel her blood boiling under her skin. Her sharp canine tooth bit her lip so hard it bled. Yet she stopped herself from turning around and confronting the men.
"Don't talk like that about Demarcus, it's bad to speak ill of the dead. And if anyone's going to come back just to prove a point it's him. I hope he haunts both of you guys." A third man chimed in they all shut up.
Ciall's blood cooled, and she let go of her fists. She licked the blood off of her lip and continued to yell at more idiots.
Idris was busy making a circle and symbols in the sand. Then pouring lamb's blood into it. Her face frozen in a strange horrific smile.
Everyone who looked at her got chills, her black eyes and weak smile seemed demonic. The smell of blood was putrid and everyone gave her plenty of space.

The water kept melting off of Sionna's hands every time she tried to form it into something. Her heart filled with worry and in anger she stomped the ground. Making the entire mountain shake beneath them.
"You mustn't let your mind fill with such turmoil, in order to use water your heart must be content. Stop thinking of portal. Face away from it. Ignore it, look at Caith and I instead. We are hear for you, we will figure this out." Yaatra said turning her body so that she could no longer see the glowing light in the darkness.
"I just am so afraid I won't be able to help, that Caith will get hurt again." She said her heart aching, the water finally forming a ball in her hand.
"Stop," said Caith and he felts his arms around her. The water slipped again through her fingers.
"You were using sadness, close your eyes." Caith spoke softly and Sionna did as he said.
"Moments ago you were happy, why because you had us. You finally learned about your past. You had a mother who loved you and did everything she could to protect you. That love does not go away, that's why you are so strong. Channel the love she has for you, feel it in your bones. Accept the past for what it was and know the future for what it is now. You are not alone. You have me," and she felt a kiss on her cheek making her smile.
"Together we can do anything, but I need the real you. Not you when you loose control, be present. Don't worry about the future." Caith then took a deep breath and Sionna followed suit. Caith's warm embrace left her but she continued to breath and sit for a while. Finally she opened her eyes.
'I can do this.' She thought to herself.

Ciall looked down at her compass. It was pointed toward the western mountains. Her body felt weak and her blood felt cold in her veins. She thought of Demarcus as he took his dying breath.
'I can do this,' she thought to herself.
