Manipulation

Marco pretended to be shocked, well more like he was exaggerated the amount of shock that he had something that seemed to be made from pure gold and directed it to the name to trying to trick the warriors.

He looked at the captain "So my name is David Lance and what you've been saying is true".

Alex nodded and looked straight at the young prince. Marco looked around the cave and spoke: "can you all start telling me the events that happened and how we ended up here".

The captain nodded and pointed at the blond women who had checked Marco's head "I'll let Anna explain meanwhile me and some of the rest will see if we can hunt something".

One of them was a man and the other woman left with Alex. Anna turned around and looked at Marco with a smile "so what would you want to hear about Young Prince?".

He looked at her and felt himself become uncomfortable. She looked like a model and to a person like him who didn't talk to a lot of people he was left without knowing what to do.

After a few seconds of silence, he was finally able to talk "how about starting from the beginning".

Anna nodded "Well like Alex said before we are from the Wolf Fanged Kingdom one of the 8 Kingdoms. We've had the reputation of having the strongest military for more than 400 years, no one dared to offend us. Sadly slowly our military power began decreasing due to overconfidence of our warriors."

She seemed to feel a little embarrassed and guilty, after pausing she continued "Our king, Matt Lance was more interested in politics than military which caused our strength to be lost even faster. After the Void Kingdom noticed this they immediately attacked".

Her hazel colored eyes began to tear up as she clenched her fists.

"Seems like she lost a lot of people she cared about", he thought.

She quickly wiped her eyes and took a deep breath "When they broke into the walls his majesty ordered our squadron and 2 royal guards to take you away from the kingdom using a hidden passage. What he didn't know was that somehow they already knew where the passage let to. We were ambushed and most of our squadron and the 2 royal guards were lost".

Marco nodded as began processing the information "how many men died in your squadron?"

The female warrior looked at him in confusion and then put her head down, "we lost 15 men".

He looked at her in shock thinking that he didn't hear correctly (("you're shitting me right who the hell would sacrifice the life of one idiot for 15 lives")) he thought.

Ding 🤖 "you better get used to it bro, I can tell you that you're going to see many more people die for you. Just make sure that you know them remember without their lives you wouldn't have been able to choose this body who knows you might have ended up being someone's torture slave".

Marco still felt sick ((" I just can't even imagine if how many people were dead because of the idiot and his father"))

Ding 🤖"yep, there are a lot of people who had lots of potentials, such a waste they could have provided you with a good amount of strength".

Marco stood up he felt guilty even if he knew he had no reason to. They died for the stupid prince, not for him but now he was the prince and the ones that survived are still with him. He walked to the cave and punched it over and over.

Both the man that was left guarding the entrance of the cave and Anna were shocked. After they recovered from the shock they quickly ran to Marco and stopped him.

"Prince what's gotten into you," said the guard as he held Marco in place.

Anna began treating his hands thankfully nothing seemed to be broken. He simply sprained his wrist and made his knuckles bleed a bit.

Ding 🤖 ``bro wtf why are you overreacting so much. It wasn't even you who they died for ''.

(("Isn't it obvious I'm doing this to get them on my side. The captain called me a bad egg earlier and the other soldier wanted them to abandon me. I gotta make sure that they see that I changed and that I care about them".))

Ding 🤖 "wow just wow, dude you take things to another level. I'm proud to have you as my master. Keep this sort of calculative personality and your going to have a great future".

(("Well if he was a prince and he was called a bad egg I can imagine what sort of personality he would have. No one would be willing to sacrifice their life for someone that doesn't appreciate them. Don't get me wrong I do feel bad for the dead shoulders but not quite enough to start hurting myself. Now let me act".))

Anna and the guard were starring at him afraid that he was going to go wild again. He didn't like to manipulate them but if it made the difference between life and death than of cohoe would choose life. Marco began wondering what else he could do to make them like him more and finally it hit him.

(("Hey system, if they give me a list of names could you remember them".))

Ding 🤖 "yeah, you bet but why would I.... oh I get what you thinking nice going. You're scary are you sure you weren't a con man in your other life".

Marco ignored the system and looked at Anna and the guard "what were the names of the dead"

Both of the armored warriors looked at him in surprise but began to list the names.

When they finished he nodded and thanked them.

Ding 🤖 "got them just let me know when you need them, oh and I also organized them alphabetically who knows they might be impressed".

He told them he was tired and laid back down pretending to be asleep. They were still a little shocked but didn't say anything else.

When Alex came back with the two other warriors he had 7 horned rabbits. As soon as he entered he checked Marco and saw the injured hand.

He turned around to look at the 2 warriors that were next to the Prince. They still had a shocked expression on their face.

"What happened here?" he asked.
