The main market of the Wuxia's capital did not lack in anything. One could find anything from the cheapest to the most luxurious things. If one did not have a destination in mind, getting lost was no big matter. Both commoners and nobles frequented the market. Thus, the market was divided into two parts. However, no restriction on roaming across the two sections was there as the commoners never went to luxurious stores because of unaffordability and the fear of offending anyone they shouldn't while the nobles thought low of things manufactured for commoners.
Long Jia stood in front of those two shops that marked this division. She was rich in her previous life. She knew how pretentious rich could be. Thus, she decided to enter the market for commoners. Long Jia wanted to understand the world that she would now live in. What could be better than knowing the ways of the common folk?
As soon as she entered, a sweet smell wafted towards her. Her stomach grumbled. She rubbed her stomach in embarrassment while remembering that she hadn't eaten anything since this morning. Ah! the love of her life is calling her. Long Jia flew towards the source of the sweet smell and devoured everything on the table like a little wolf. After putting out the fire in her stomach, Long Jia realised she had eaten someone else's food.
She looked up. Her wide eyes met a piercing glare.
" Who are you? Why did you eat my food?" the stranger asked.
" Umm... My name is Long Jia. Nice to meet you." She put her hand forward for a handshake, but no one took it. Long Jia awkwardly retreated her hand.
" Sorry, I ate your food. I was very hungry because I had not eaten anything since morning." Long Jia laughed awkwardly and averted her eyes. She placed some money on the table and left.
Unbeknownst to Long Jia, the stranger had an amusing smile adorning his face.
"So, that's my big sister in law."
