Stupid Maid

The two guards immediately got to work. One of them bends two maids and started flogging them while the other prevented the rest of the maids from escaping along with the servant.

The maids could not bear to hear the scream of their coworkers. It was not their fault that the young miss was useless, that she only knew how to fawn over the third prince! Who knew that she would reveal her true colours after marriage, that she was fiercer than the madam!

One of the maids gathered her courage and step forward, " Miss, this is injustice. You said you would flog us fifty times, but you are doing it a hundred times." Long Jia smiled. This maid was so foolish.

"Flog them fifty times more." Long Jia commanded. The other maids cursed the one that spoke out.

" Why didn't you go back when I politely said so?" Long Jia questioned the stupid maid.

None of them answered. They were afraid to even speak, let alone answer. Long Jia did not push them. If they did, she would increase their punishment. She looked at the maids being flogged and smiled while thinking, this should be a good present for their leader.

Long Jia called out to the servant that escorted her yesterday and asked: "What is your name?"

"Replying to Wangfei, Ding Fan."

"Mm. Is it alright to call you Fan?" Long Jia asked.

Ding Fan was momentarily surprised. He did not expect her to ask his opinion. Nonetheless, he nodded. Long Jia laughed seeing his expression. She was harsh to those who would annoy her only. Long Jia continued, "Bring me the contracts of all the maids that came with me. Tell me if they are not in my dowry." Ding Fan nodded and left to carry out her orders.

Long Jia already knew that they were not in the dowry, but she wanted to confirm the treatment received by Zhou Mingxia by herself.
