When a Good Man Goes to War (1/2)

**Gore Warning-Asterisks when gore is over**

Matt stared down the alley with his emotions running amok. The center of it all is two women, their bodies badly mangled. No human could do such a thing, but the gangsters standing around and laughing at the sight of their work proves otherwise. The women look very similar, the only major difference in their appearance being the test of time shown on the older of the two's body. Whether unfortunate or fortunate for her as it seems the torture brought upon her was lessened due to being 'uninteresting' for these animals in human skin. These creatures tore the bodies apart and are just standing there staring at their handiwork. Bits of mangled flesh are strewn throughout the bloody pools in the alley. Neither body has all its limbs still attached. It was like they just wouldn't stop desecrating the girls even after they had died. I can't imagine doing that to my worst enemy, but for some reason the idea of destroying these creatures in the same manner seems fitting. The worst part is torn between the lack of remorse on the assailants' faces and the expressions of sheer terror on the girls' faces. Matt keeps looking in shock and discovers that some of the gangsters are buckling up their pants and notices the 'white stains' hidden throughout the bloody scene. What kind of human could even think of doing such a thing to another? Two innocent girls brutally murdered, among other crimes, to give vent to the desires of these creatures. Things like them need to be put down, but can I really kill another human being on my own judgement? My judgement? My judgement says they are animals not deserving of basic human rights. They don't deserve to live. They need to be punished. They need to feel the suffering they brought to others. They need to die. Painfully. It's to protect future victims. It's to bring peace to these girls' souls.

**End Gore**

Unaware of it, Matt still had his stealth and disguise activated. The changes in his emotions were slowly transforming the appearance he was projecting to others. He went from a shadowy blur to something more sinister. The rough dark layer covering his face slowly became more solid, with defining features similar to a face. The eyes looked like dark abysses filled with an eerie flame. The mouth appeared like a black hole that could even devour souls. The top grew two small points like horns and in the middle of the forehead a rune appeared. If Matt could see this rune he would recognize it from the 'H' like shape with a diagonal line instead of a straight one in the middle. It's a rune that defines chaos and destruction, the Hagalaz rune. The nearby shadows seems to be hugging his figure as the clothes he was wearing are soon covered in pulsing red veins. Without conscious thought, a whip appears in each hand. These two whips branch into 9 whips each, appearing like a cat o' nine-tails. Fitting, that a weapon for bringing about great pain appears when his desire to cause it has reached a peak. The whips slowly grow long sharp thorns and begin to wave around on their own as if hungering for the blood they will soon taste. This won't be a fight, it will be a slaughter.
