Training

Alan backs a few steps away. A few seconds pass by then the egg breaks open. A little dragon about the size of a shoe box is visible. It looks towards Alan. Alan let's out a hand. The baby dragon climbs on to his hand. It is black with a reddish orange strip along it's back. It has quite a long tail for its size. The tail has a little point at the end. The point is a shiny black color.

Alan: Look at you (he says in a gentle voice)

It looks up at Alan. It opens its mouth a little. Alan then notices how its eyes are a reddish yellow color. There is a glowing red color coming from its mouth. It let's out a little sneeze. When it does it spit a small amount of lava out. Alan's eyes widen.

Alan: Awesome

Alan sets it down. The baby dragon tries to walk, but could only go a few feet.

Alan: We could work on that

Alan spends the rest of the day with the baby dragon. By the end of the day it was able to walk perfectly fine on it's own, and figured out how to fly. It could only lift itself for a few seconds though.

Alan: Great for just hatching. I'm actually pretty surprised.

The next day

Alan: So... I have school, but you just hatched. hmm...

Alan thinks it over

Alan: I better stay and watch him. hmm... that reminds me I haven't given him a name yet.

Alan looks at the dragon

Alan: Hmm... So you can spit lava, your black in color. hmm... Ahh, I got it. Your name is Obsidian.

Again Alan spends the whole day with Obsidian.

The next day.

Alan wakes up to see Obsidian spitting on a small pile of leaves.

Alan: Aghh!! No, no, no

Alan manages to scoop up the leaves before they caught fire.

Alan: Your a little pain, that's what I like about you.

Alan looks at the time.

Alan: 6:40 AM, hmm...

Alan looks at Obsidian

Alan: I guess it'll be fine to take him as long as people keep there distance.

Alan gets dressed for school and gets his backpack on. He decides to walk to school.

Alan: I'll hold you for now

Alan picks up Obsidian and wraps a small cloth around him, the head still out of the cloth.

Alan: There you go, let's go

Alan decides to enter through the office since some of them already know. Everyone notices Alan enter holding something. A few of them as what is that?

Alan: Want to see?

They say yes and Alan unwraps the cloth. Obsidian then tries to fly out of Alan's hands. Alan is able to grab Obsidian before he was out of range.

Alan: That was close.

Obsidian starts squirming around in Alan's arms.

Alan: Stop, it's ok

Obsidian looks at Alan then stops. Everyone is surprised even though they kind of knew about it already. Someone Asks "It hatched?"

Alan: What does it look like?...

Someone else asks "Why did you bring it to school?"

Alan: Well I cant just leave him alone all day, I dont know what he'll do. That's why I wasn't here yesterday. I was going to ask if you had any rope or something I could use as a leash. I forgot to one. Someone gives Alan a rope. Alan stretches it a bit.

Alan: This will do

He ties the rope around Obsidian in a way that Obsidian can't escape.

Alan: Thanks

Alan walks into school with Obsidian. Instantly students are looking in his direction.

Alan: Ughh, why did I think this was a good idea?

Someone comes up to Alan. What is that? He says.

Alan: What does it look like?

Alan then looks at obsidian who is hissing at the student. Obsidian's eyes are glowing reddish orange and the stripe along his back is glowing as well.

Alan: Woah!, Obsidian, clam down, its fine

Obsidian looks at Alan and the glowing goes away.

Alan: I didn't know he could do that (He says to himself)

Alan picks up Obsidian and heads to class.

Mr. Jones: Woah, uhh Alan why don't you just stay outside for this period.

Alan: ... Ok

Alan sits down on a bench. He looks at Obsidian. Obsidian is already looking at Alan and nods his head.

Alan: Your so cute

The rest of Alan's classes let him sit outside.

Alan: It's fine with me.

Once school is over Alan heads back to the den.

Alan: Ok you stay there

Alan grabs an actual leash.

Alan: Fits perfectly, how does it feel?

Obsidian looks at him and nods again.

Alan: I'll take that as a good

Alan let's his school know he won't be coming for a few days, They understood.
