Then two ring bearers entered, holding two red trays with a marriage certificate and ring on them .
In front of the wedding platform, the best man and bridesmaid stood on one side, and the ring and flower bearers on the other.
Lister was standing on the wedding platform. He was looking extremely handsome in a white tuxedo.
At the end of the aisle, Anna's father hugged her, said "I 'm proud of you" and then presented her to his groom. Andrew placed her hand in Lister's and smiled. As a couple, Lister and Anna stood in front of the priest.
Before Andrew walked away, he patted Lister on the shoulder. That was his way of welcoming him into the family.
"Mr. Cleft, do you take Miss Devin as your lawful wedded wife and swear in public that for richer or poorer, in sickness or health, you will always love her, care for her, and be faithful to her without abandonment as long as you both shall live...."
"Yes, I do."
And the bride said the same. " Yes, I do." From the moment they vowed at the wedding, they were going to take care of each other for the rest of their life.
Lister unfolded the veil for the bride, kissed her on the forehead. There was a loud gasp from the crowd. This all felt magical to Anna.
