Morgery Estate

The game had been rough on me yesterday, throwing me one of my few tough battles. Which while I will admit is a lot more fun and interesting than killing everything I come across in one hit (Especially with that hellishly broken ability known as "Lucky Mode"), definitely gave me a scare. I really was worried that I might die in that fight, and from what I've heard, dying was a huge setback.

However, it was a new day, and a new me. I wouldn't let my anger get the best of me. At the very least, I got the girl to the Estate, that means the mission is complete, right?

I put on my Skyvisor headset and turned it on, quickly being sucked into the virtual world that I had become accustomed to. I woke up to the sounds of startled gasps as I opened my eyes.

"By the Deities, He's alright!" A man in a well-tailored suit, who seemed to be one of the house servants proclaimed. I slowly rose from the stiff, wood frame bed I had been resting in, an aching pain emanating from the side of my chest. I clenched the wound, feeling the bandages that had at some point been replaced, but still stained with blood.

"How long has it been... since I've been out? The girl, is she okay?" I asked calmly to the group of people standing by my bedside.

They stared at me for a moment, before the man who proclaimed I was awake spoke, "Yes, the Baron's daughter is safe and had no harm done to her, you may rest assured that she is okay." As the man said that, a large text box appeared. My eyes shone with glee and my mouth curled into a big smile.

I smirked at the sight of my skill page. Despite all the troublesome things I had to go through in order to get here was well worth it. I laid back down in the bed and took a deep breath, completely satisfied with my progress.

"Er, sir... I know you've just woken up and all, but Baron Morgery wishes to see you, please get dressed and follow me." One of the servants said, gesturing towards the door. The rest of the crowd was ushered out as I put on my clean robes, which had most likely been washed while I was asleep.

Following the servant, we went out of the hallway (It looked like we were on the second floor of the estate) and went up a large flight of stairs, eventually reaching a large office, with a single wide desk in the center of it (For some reason, it reminded me of ninjas). Sitting in the chair behind that wide desk was none other than Baron Morgery himself.

"Welcome my dearest patron! How good it is to see you up and well!" Baron Morgery said with a jovial voice, "Say, do take a seat why don't you? We have some discussing to do..."

I sat down slowly, and prepared myself for whatever the Baron was thinking of discussing.
