The door to Sanses room swung open, it's doorknob hitting the wall putting a bigger dent into the already dented wall. Sans shot up from his deep comfortable sleep.
"Sans get your lazy ass ready for work now! Don't make me call you again or I'm going to kick your boney ass across the damn underground!" His brother yelled.
"Y-yes, Boss." Sans got up as his brother slammed the door shut. He listened to the tapping of his brother's shoes rush across the hallway to downstairs.
Sans slipped his shirt off of his scared chest throwing it into the corner of his room and pulled another shirt and a pair of shorts out from his dresser. It was a red turtleneck shirt and black shorts. He pulled the collar out from under his shirt and put a new pair of clean socks on. As he slipped his slippers on he grabbed his scarf that he wore a few days ago. His new friend from behind the entrance door had made it for him. It was all black with thin red stripes. Not a lick of guilt filled his soul when he had told his brother about him finding the scarf at the Waterfalls. Papyrus always got jealous when someone was around, touching, staring or even talking to Sans. He wrapped the scarf around his collar and neck opening his door.
The cool air from the hallway made him shiver, "Wow, Sans. You are a skeleton and you are shivering." He headed down the creaking stairs to find his brother standing there waiting, "Mornin', Boss." Papyrus didn't say anything. He just stood there arms crossed and a grimacing looks on his face. "Alright, I am sorry okay. Yeah, I slept in but that may mean I won't be sleeping on the job today."
"You shouldn't be sleeping on the job period. Now let's go. Undyne is waiting for us. She has our reports ready for today." Papyrus said opening the door as they both headed out into the chilly morning.
Sans sighed watching his breath fog up in front of him. He followed his brother through Snowdin. He paused looking up at the sign on a small building that read "Grillby's." Grillby was an old friend of Sans until an "incident" happened with Sans and his brother. Not the greatest but he knew he wasn't welcomed. He heard his brother call for him and he took off running.

Sans sat on the porch of Undyne and Alphy's home. The smell of rotting wood, fish, and murky water filled his nostrils. He couldn't stand it anymore so he teleported to his station. He cleaned off the snow from the hard cold wood of his rickety shack. He looked to the direction of the entrance and decided to go pay a little visit to his friend, if she was home of course. He kicked newly fallen stick out of his path checking on traps for his usual morning routine.
When he got to the big door it seemed to have been opened. Snap! Sans spun around pulling his hands from his pockets, "Who's there? Show yourself!" A large bone formed in his hand ready to hit anything that came his way. He heard whispering in the distance than a dark figure almost Sanses size but slightly smaller came out. "Come out of the shadows!" He growled. The shadow jumped and came out more. Sans was surprised they listened. A young girl came from the shadows with a yellow flower in her brown short hair. Another yellow flower, that seemed to be scowling at Sans was wrapped around her arm. He straightened himself up, "A human, huh?"
"Don't talk to him. He's just a large pile of trash!" The flower whispered to the girl.
"Don't be mean Flowey. I'm sure he's nice." The girl told the flower.
"Here it's get killed or kill, kid. Not all monsters are nice fluffy and cuddly." Sans told her. The bone in his hand dissipated into the air.
"I.. I'm sorry. But I don't want to hurt anyone. I just want to get back home." The girl said taking a step towards the monster. Sanses eyes narrowed upon the girl, "Can I ask why one of your eyes is red and the other is white?"
"Wow. Way to criticize someone you just met." Sans yawned.
"See! I told you, Frisk!" Flowey whispered.
Sans walked over to them and bent over meeting eye to eye with the flower, "Told them what?"
The flower hid behind the girl frightened. He straightened up once again and looked down at the girl. She was wearing a black turtleneck as well but with two red stripes across her stomach/waist area. She was also wearing boots with tight jeans.
"Names Sans. Sans the Skeleton." Sans winked with a smirk revealing his gold fang.
The girl giggled, "I'm Frisk. Frisk the Human." She held out her hand.
He took it with no hesitation, "So, uh, just warning you. Your journey ahead is straight hell." Sans began to walk back to his station. He could hear the girl following him from behind. Pausing he turned around, "Why are you following me?"
"I.. I thought you were showing me the way." She said.
He blankly stared at her, "Pfft! Haha!" Sans placed his hand on his "stomach" and his other on his head laughing.
"What's so funny?" She asked.
"He's insane, Frisk! Let's just bail!" The flower said.
"Flowey if you don't knock it off I'm leaving you in the snow and you can find your way back to your little cave." The girl threatened.
"Hmph! Fine. Get your soul crushed for all I care."
Sans wheezed then wiped a red tear from his eye, "Ah, jeez kid. I haven't laughed so hard like that in years. You want my advice, kid? Stay away from someone who is bad luck like me." Sans left the girl standing there heading back to his station again. He knew if that girl followed him around that she would be dusted in an instant.
"Who's that?" He spun around and it was the girl again.
"Wh-who's who?" He looked at her confused.
She pointed behind him, "Them."
He turned around to find his brother looking around his station. He must have been looking for him, "Listen, kid. That's my brother Papyrus. He is head of the Royal Guard and if he catches you. You're more than likely to be dusted." Sans looked at her. His brother called after him in the distance, "Fuck. Stay quiet." He placed his hand on the girl's shoulder and teleported her into the tree above them. As Sans turned around he was looking directly into his brother's red eyes, "H-hey Boss. What's up?"
"Don't 'what's up' me, Sans! Why were you not at your station? And why were you not at Undyne's place when I came out?" He crosses his arms towering over the small skeleton.
"Well, one Undyne's place smells like rotten ass and two I wasn't at my station because I was checking the traps."
Papyrus seemed surprised, "Well then..." He paused, "Dinner is at 5." Papyrus left to his own station.
"Wow.. that was easy." He shrugged and yawned once more.
"Hey, trash bag!" He heard the flower say.
Sans looked up at the human gripping onto the branch for dear life, "Hm. Right. Forgot about you two." He snapped his fingers and the human was teleported onto the ground, "Welp. See ya around, kid." He went to his station and sat in his chair propping his feet up onto the counter of the shack.
The girl came up to him brushing off the snow, "Could you at least tell me where to go?"
"Anywhere you go kid, it's going to be hell. This is not a happy land like it is with your human friends up on the surface." Sans chuckled.
"Well, it's no better on the surface. Lots of murders have happened in the last month. Or so I've heard."
"It's a shit hole from this point on. Murders, suicide, and torture. All things that exist here." He said sitting up in his chair, "Maybe your little talking flower there has some reasonable advice." The flower glared at Sans.
"Flowey seems to know where he's going but I don't think he knows the monsters ahead like you do."
"Welp, Flowey is useless then."
"ExCuSe Me!¡!" The flower yelled as pellets flew towards Sans.
A wall of bones parted them as Sans fell out of his chair. He heard a scream when the pellets hit the wall of bones. Sans did not form that, "Papyrus.." he whispered then jumped out of his shack. As he rounded the corner Papyrus already had the girl in his grasp.
"Let her go you freak!" Flowey yelled.
Papyrus looked at Sans, "Were you planning on telling me about this human, Sans?"
"O-of course B-Boss!" Sans stammered.
The girl looked at Sans, "Toriel was right about you monsters! Nothing but lier's!"
Sans felt as if someone came up to him and crushed his lungs and soul. Sans growled, "You think it's easy living a life like mine?! Well, it's not! My brother thinks I'm God damn useless and if I was thinking of turning you in hoping the one person who I love will one day think I'm not a useless pile of dust!" Sans panted.
All of them stared at Sans in surprise. Fuck.
