Chapter Three

Frisk opened her eyes feeling no pain on her face. She looked up and Sans was standing there his head tilted away from being hit, "I said. Stay out of it kid." Sans growled, "I suggest you go downstairs."

"B-Bu-"

"I said go!" Sans snapped pushing her out of his room and slamming the door on her.

She jumped from the sound of the slamming door. She looked down at Flowey who was still wrapped around her waist, "It's probably best to do what he says, Frisk. He knows how to deal with his brother. Let's go."

"But.. what if he hurts him so much that Sans can't even heal?" Frisk said looking up at the door. There, what she thought were knife marks, cut into Sanses door.

"He's a strong monster, Frisk. I've seen him fight before. He'll be fine." Flowey told her. She stared at the door for a moment listening to the argument between the two siblings then she went downstairs to wait for what was about to happen to her.

Is opening the barrier her fate? Was she supposed to save all the suffering monsters here in the underground? What if she opened the barrier and all the bad monsters like Papyrus hurt the weak humans on the surface as payback for what they had done to them?

These questions ran through her head the entire time Sans and Papyrus were done arguing. Papyrus was standing at the door tapping his foot impatiently. After a minute or so Sans came downstairs with the same clothes as yesterday. But instead, he had a wrap on his right eye. Frisk stood up worried.

"We are going to take the human to Undyne. She knows what to do with humans." Papyrus opened the door.

Frisk waited for Sans to go out, "You go first. I leave the house last." He whispered. She hesitantly walked out of the house. Frisk turned around, watching Sans look the door to their home. She turned back around as she heard Papyrus call after her to follow.

For most of the walk, Sans stayed behind the two of them. His head down, mouth covered by his scarf, and his left eye not glowing. Frisk felt bad for Sans. She felt that he shouldn't have taken the blow to the head that she should have gotten it.

She slowed her Pace to Sanses, "Hey Sa-"

"Don't talk to me," Sans mumbled from under his scarf.

"Wow way to be rude," Flowey said.

"Papyrus is watching me making sure I'm not around you. Same goes for you too." Sans glanced up at his brother in the distance.

"O-Oh... Okay." Frisk kept her head down the entire time.

At Undyne's

Sans stood there waiting for his brother and Undyne to get done with discussing on what to do with Frisk. Frisk was with Alphys who was showing her her Mew Mew Kissy Cutie Collection and probably her new experiment. Alphys is the Royal Scientist and Undyne is the second in command of the Royal Guards. Sans knew that if he moved from where he was Papyrus was going to do more damage than he had already done. He sighed, closing his eyes. He hardly slept last night, nothing but nightmares.

"Who was that in my dream?" He whispered.

"Wh-who was wh-what in what d-dream?" Sans looked up seeing Alphys and Frisk.

Sans smirked, "Nothin' Alphys."

"Uh huh. Wh-what ever you say, B-bone head.

Sans chuckled and lifted up his head, "Whatcha been up to, Alphys?"

Her and Frisk walked over to him, "Nothing m-much. Me-Mettaton is almost d-done with his uh-upgrades."

"That's good." Sans scratched the top of his skull, "Did ya show Frisky here your Mew Mew stuff?"

"Oh my! N-No I haven't!" She grabbed Frisk's hand and took off to another room. He chuckled.

"At least one of us is in a good mood.." Sans shrugged. Papyrus called him from the back room. Sans went to see what the problem was, "Yeah Boss?"

"Where is the human," Papyrus asked.

"With Alphys."

"Why?" His eyes narrowed.

"Because if I tried to stop Alphys she'd make me one of her experiments that she can blow up."

Undyne chuckled, "Well the human is not needed as of right now. The king is very busy. So if you could keep watch over them that would be great Sans. I think the torture chamber is a good place to keep her until she's needed."

Why me? "Kay." Kay?! Really?!

Sans was sent to his station with Frisk. As they got close to his station he teleported behind the counter area, "I didn't know you could do that, Sans!" Frisk said in awe.

"Really? I was able to teleport you up into the tree. How did you not know I had Teleportation powers?" Sans leaned back in his chair.

"Oh.. right. Do you have any other powers?" Frisk walked over to him.

"And why would I tell that to someone like you?" He leaned forward resting his head on his hand looking up at her.

"Jeez, rude much." Flowey hissed.

"Stop pollen on my leg, Petals," Sans said to Flowey. Frisk giggled, "You got to be kidding me?! Are you laughing at my puns?" Frisk covered her giggling grin with her hands.

"What's wrong with laughing at a little joke." She put her hands down her cheeks were a flushed red.

Sans looked at her in surprise his cheeks a hint of red as well. He looked away, "Psh. Wasn't even that funny anyway. Go wander around in the snow or something... whatever you humans do."

She stared at Sans for a moment then looked at Flowey, "Wanna build a snowman, Flowey?"

"Does it look like I have hands?" Flowey grumbled.

"That's alright. It's the fun that matters." She smiled then went over to the middle of the roadway. She began building up the lower body.

After a few minutes of packing and piling snow, the snowman was finished, "Look, Sans! A snowma-" Something went through Frisk's chest causing a flow of blood to drip down her chest that bled through her shirt. Sans stood up and Frisk fell dead to the ground. Flowey screamed for Frisk to get up. A blade stuck straight up from her back.

Sans rushed over to Frisk and rolled her to her side, "K-Kid... Kid get up.." The sound of snow crunching beneath someone's feet came from the forest.

Sans turned to look at who was coming his way to face the human's murderer and a blade stopped right in front of his face that was going to hit him dead center of his skull. He went to touch it but the blade and everything around him turned to dust. "Wha-" Sans looked around him. He was in a dark area falling, to what seemed like his death, "What's happening?!" Before he knew what had happened he had fainted, falling deeper into the abyss of darkness.
