The Will

Denton is still in his sister room. His sister mentioned her personal assistant before but she didn't mention the name when they talked but he didn't know that she is also the secretary of her sister. He decided to try and call the number on the file, but it just rang. He left out a big sigh… He moves his chair closer to his sister and he is holding his sister hand and he lean his head on their hands and a few moment later he fell asleep because of tiredness of almost nonstop motor ride.

In the midst of the discussion of the board members, Someone opened the door and that got their attention. It is Mr. Andrei Lee, the private lawyer of Ms. J. He bows his head before going in the back of the table where Kayleigh is seated.

Mr. Jordan: What are you doing here Lawyer Lee?

Lawyer Lee: I am here to discuss the CEO trust, will and power of attorney.

Mr. Jordan: Just in time then Lawyer Lee. Tell them that I am the next CEO.

Mr. Conan Hex: Don't assume right away Mr. Jordan.

Mr. Jordan just ignored what Mr. Conan just said. Then Lawyer Lee put his briefcase on the table and opened it. And he grabs the documents and reads it in front of them. Then he stated what was written in it.

"I, Jera Everley Jupiter, 28 years old and a resident of District A. and a CEO and founder of Vertex Gear. If in the future I am not able to do my responsibility as a CEO, I hereby declare, and give all of my power of attorney to my personal assistant, Ms. Kayleigh Camilla DeKnight. I have high hope and trust Ms. DeKnight that she will take care of the company like I did. And If incase I will pass away (dead), I will give my 30% share equally to all of the employee of Vertex Gear all over the different districts and the remaining 10% will be awarded to Ms. DeKnight for all of her hard work for the company. I hope that the company will continue to be successful (even if I am not around) for all of the employees, & investors that are relying on it."

After hearing the will of Ms. J, Kayleigh can not believe it. She is just sitting there with her mounts slightly open cause of shock and staring in the space of nowhere. While the board members are also in shock and questioning how come it is her? Specially Mr. Jordan who shows his dismay and annoyance on what he heard.

"Wow, Ms. DeKnight, what did you do to Ms. J to give you such an opportunity huh?" Mr. Jordan said. While Kayleigh didn't respond to it.

"Is the will authentic? Or you and the lawyer are accomplices on this?" He continued.

"Mr. Jordan, please try to calm down and I will not tolerate you questioning the will of Ms. J." The lawyer responded

"This is just ridiculous!!!" Mr. Jordan shouted and aggressively walked out of the meeting and slammed the door. While the other board members is trying to think and discuss what will happen next.

"Well… since that what Ms. J, decided. I will comply". Mr. Conan Hex said.

"But Big Brother… how can we trust Ms. DeKnight credibility on the position?" Felon Hex asked his brother. "She is not even good enough for the executive secretary position for Ms. J" he continued. While, Kayleigh felt so little and so small hearing all of the complaints that she heard in the board meeting. Then the lawyer taps her left shoulder then she looks up to the lawyer that is still standing next to her. "Don't worry Ms. DeKnight, Ms. J knows what her decision is. You just need to believe in yourself, plus I am hear to assist you just in case and you are not alone, you can count on us" the lawyer stated. Kayleigh didn't know what to say and she just nodded. "Ms. DeKnight, shows us what made Ms. J trusts you with such a big responsibility. For now we will end this meeting and we will be watching you how you run things and if we are not satisfied we will do something about it". Mr. Conan Hex said. After that all of the board members stood up and began to leave the board meeting. And Kayleigh stands up as well and bow her head as a respect to them.

Now, it is only the lawyer Andrei Lee and Ms. DeKnight on the board meeting.

"Lawyer Lee, what just happened?"

"What you heard is right, this is not a joke Ms. CEO". Then he smiled at Kayleigh. "Don't worry, we got your back. We will help you and teach you how to run the company". He continued.

"Thank you Lawyer Lee. But I still can not believe that Ms. J, will prepare something like this." Kayleigh said while still hesitating.

"The will of Ms. J, only got decided a few days before her accident, It's like she knew that something bad gonna happen to her".

"I don't know how or what I should feel, Lawyer Lee." Lawyer Lee, check his wrist watch before responding to Kayleigh.

"Well, looks like you are still in denial Ms. DeKnight… but anyway it's almost 5 in the afternoon, it is still early for dinner… But, I heard from Linda that you rushed in here and probably didn't get any lunch so if you want we can talk more and have dinner at the same time."

"I appreciate the thought Lawyer Lee. But it is not the time to eat out now… I don't want others think that we plot something to have this kind of situation specially Mr. Jordan."

"Hmm, I see Ms. DeKnight, I just wanted to comfort you in a way…"

"Thank you Lawyer Lee, but I'll probably just go back to my desk and think this through".

"Very Well, Ms. DeKnight, I hope next time we can talk more without the pressure of work". Then Lawyer Lee, bowed his head slightly and smiled at Kayleigh when she left as soon as the elevator opened up a floor lower from the board meeting room.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Lee entered the Sky Hotel, a five star hotel and one of the most expensive hotels to stay in all districts. And Yes it is a sister company of Sky Club with the same owner. He scanned the SCard - an executive card on the secluded elevator that will only open if you have a SCard of Sky Hotel then he went all the way up to the 30th floor, then as soon as the elevator opens, you will enter the entryway of the floor where you can hang your coat and leave your shoes and use the house slipper/shoes before you can go to the living room area, it is a huge condominium its wide as the building itself. A modern house on the top of the building. Before Lawyer Lee entered his bedroom, someone tap his shoulder and Lawyer Lee look at the person

"How did it go, Lawyer Lee?"

"Oh, you are here already Denton?". Denton just nodded and waited for the lawyer response. "Well, as expected… Ms. DeKnight was shock and still in denial about the will of your sister."

"Well that is a given."

"By the way Denton, why didn't you go to the board meeting earlier? You know already that you are very well qualified to attend, specially your sister entrust you the 15% of the share of the company since the beginning".

"Yeah I know. But I wanted to just relax for a while and let this Ms. DeKnight to take the stage for now." Then he smirked "I wanted to know why my sister entrust the company to her and why she didn't mention it to me".

"Are you jealous little D?" Lawyer Lee teased

"Stop calling me that Andrei!" He frowned and put his hands on his waist, a gesture of threatening the Lawyer. When the lawyer saw that gesture he stop. Cause he knows that this guy has a short temper. But act completely opposite in front of his sister. He's just so amazed that he saw the well known grumpy Denton Isaac Jupiter cried at the hospital.

A Few hours ago before the Board Meeting…

Lawyer Lee, went to the hospital as per request of Ms. J in case something happens to her, because she anticipates that her brother will show up no matter what if she is in a bad shape. And she is right. Lawyer Lee, saw a guy that holding Ms. J hand and leaning his head on it, while his tears are dropping on his face. But he quickly wiped the tears as soon as he saw him standing next to the opened door.

"Sorry for bothering you… You must be Denton, the brother of Ms. J". Lawyer Lee looking at Ms. J while saying this to Denton. Then he stare at Ms. J for a while until Denton responded a few moment later

"Yes that is right". Full of curiosity about who this guy is and why is he staring at his sister like that… "Who are you?" He continued…

"Oh, I'm sorry, I got distracted for a bit… I am Lawyer Andrei Lee, your sister lawyer." Then he reached his hand for a handshake to introduce formally. And Denton shook his hand.

"Let me get to the point Mr. Jupiter…"

"Denton… just call me Denton".

"Okay hmmm… Denton…"

"Can I call you by your name then?"

"Yes… sure.. you can call me Andrei if you want… since I am only 4 years older than you…"

"How did you know?"

"Well, your sister always mentions you to me"

"Ah I see…you guys might be super close then… " after hearing this Lawyer Lee loosen his tie collar and cough a bit…

"Eheem, Let me tell you,... Denton… about the will of your sister". He stutters and changes the topic. Denton looked at Andrei with a suspicious look but he thought that this guy seems fishy changing the topic right away but he listened anyway despite the suspicious aura that he feels from this guy.

"A few days before your sister's accident. She called me in her office and we discussed her will of testament in case something bad might happen to her. At that time, your sister feels that someone has been stalking her for quite some time and on the day of the accident she managed to catch the stalker in the parking lot of the company and manage to hit him and stab him with a pen on his left wrist, She told me it is a guy but your sister didn't saw the face clearly since his wearing a medical face mask."

"Then what happens next?" Denton ask

"Your sister tried to catch him and chase him with her motorbike… that is why she got into the accident."

"She managed to call you while trying to catch the culprit?"

"Yes…"

"Hmm… okay, based on your story… show me your both wrist…." Lawyer Lee is having cold sweat from the straightforward questions of Denton to him. He feels that he did not trust him. Denton suddenly stands up and walks closely to Andrei and he grabs his wrist, unbutton the sleeve and he slips up the long sleeves of the lawyer to expose his wrist. He did this in both of his wrists. He looked at his wrist so intensely then…

"Ehemm… pardon me guys…" Cerda said (the same nurse that has been assisting our leads since the beginning) she is giggling while looking at the two guys that are standing and holding their hands in front of her. She walk toward to Ms. J, and she changes the bag of the IV fluid.

"Guys, let me know if you want me to close the door so you guys will have a private moment". Cerda teased the two guys that were still holding hands that were just staring at her with confusion. Then suddenly Denton dropped the hand of the lawyer and turned his back while the nurse was walking away and going back to the nursing station while still smiling. Then Denton clears his throat when the nurse is gone and he apologizes to Andrei for suspecting him. He saw his wrist and it was both clear. No stab scar or anything.

Furthermore, Lawyer Lee explain the will of Ms. J and he told him as well that he got a 15% ownership of the company since the beginning as a gift from her sister. He also explain that, Ms. J knows that Denton might be busy taking care of their family business in District J, that is why she entrust the company to Kayleigh and she also believes on her that she will handle the company just fine. And incase of an emergency in the company Lawyer Lee was instructed to ask her brother to ask for help if they can not handle it.
