The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy Grim's True Purpose

Before I start, I wanna thank those who voted on Facebook. Each time I do it, I get more, and it's a great sight to see. Over the next few weeks, I will not post any theories. Sorry, but I have to keep my word on another story. And after 4 weeks, there will be what looks like a theory a week through July. Check out the mini-autobiography if you want to see into my life story and why I do this. Now, on to the theory.

We begin with my four points. These seem tame, but their background gets darker the more you look into it. These points include Occurrence of Deaths, Effects on Everyday People, Circumstances related to Death Itself, and Levels of Friendship VS Increase In Unusual Activity. I had to get scientific for this one, but you'll get why I did it really soon.
We begin with the Occurrence of Deaths within the show. This may be a bit odd to add to a theory on Billy and Mandy. However, it does tie everything together pretty well to start with this. In the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, there is a death in every episode except the first season. However, the first is one of the few to revolve around the death of anything. The pet was scheduled for death by Grim, and Mandy cheated Death of the pet's soul while tethering the Reaper to herself and Billy. This actually reminds me of the story of Sisyphus. Yet, as far as we are allowed to see, Mandy and Billy are not punished in any way. Could this mean someone else is getting the punishment for them? A question that is easily proven by every episode that follows. I believe the Underworld is targeting those around them as a way for them to give up Grim, despite the stakes specifying that Grim is their 'best friend forever'. This tactic would work on any other normal child, simply by making them afraid or willing to barter for it to stop. However, Billy and Mandy are not 'normal'. With each death, Mandy simply becomes more of an evil person, and Billy is too dumb to realize until later seasons. Billy, however, continues to see Grim as a friend, this giving us a clue as to his mindset. He believes Grim wouldn't kill him if the Reaper sees him as a friend, thus ensuring his safety. A bit much for the brainless one, but it doesn't have to be thought based rather than instinct. Billy seems to do everything without thinking, making everything he does the equivalent of instinct in an animal. And according to animal instinct, it's usually better to travel in a pack of tough or tougher animals. Which may be why Billy became Mandy's so-called friend.
Now, on to the Effects on Everyday People. Each person is affected in different ways, but there are three in particular hit harder than anyone else. These three are Gladys Billy (Mother of Billy), Puddin (a classmate), and General Scarr (the neighbor who started on the sister show Evil Con Carne). Each one has been changed from being around Grim to a different degree. Gladys became incredibly paranoid in regards to her family early on, and later on, confronts Grim multiple times. She has been known to fight the Reaper just to protect her son, all despite her son's choice to continue being 'best friends' with the personification of Death itself. Though this seems logical, it's taken to insane degrees both mentally and physically. Since she knows Grim can't be stopped, she has the will and strength to both stun and even harms Grim multiple times using basic household items. To that, I can only see her as partially Mexican (Sorry, but I felt I needed to lighten it up there) with her expert use of a broom as a weapon. Next, Puddin. Before anything else, I have to say this kid will come up again at the last point. For now, let's just say this kid has to be both incredibly stupid and most likely immortal because he has taken the death count in the show and thrown it out the window. He has died from multiple different attacks and has been known to go to the hospital at least every other death. Though an odd point is shown for Puddin, each time he does or is hospitalized, it is in connection with Billy or Grim. Specific ones include being trampled by elephants after Billy gains the ability to see into the future and after wishing for a "Bunny that will always love him" being sent on an insane action-filled chase scene trying to get away from said Bunny, only to end up dead from the Bunny being both evil and obsessed with Puddin seeing that it "loves him to death" (why does writing this so many years later give me yandere vibes?). Lastly, General Scarr. He is known for being Evil Con Carne's military advisor and has what seems like PTSD in regards to the adventures with his old boss to the point where he tries to force peace onto himself. When he meets Billy, his original persona is awakened partially. Leading him to immediately try to take Grim's scythe, and Mandy has one of her 'talks' with him. Afterward, he chooses to protect his garden at all costs, including murdering those who tread on his yard, meaning Billy in particular. All these are effects related to Grim in some way. Either through first-hand or second-hand contact with Grim or those constantly around him. And those who openly say they are "friends" with The Grim Reaper.
The Circumstances related to Death are a little odd, though the show does get some leeway through being children's animation. Each time a death happens in the show, the tone is steadily worsened. With each death, it also gets increasingly gruesome to the point of total censorship. Imagine that, we get to season 4 and halfway through most of the deaths are completely skipped over if they don't go with the episode. Though with the last point, everything is a moot point.
The final point will give a major connection between all three. With each different moment that passes and the length of time, the friendship with Grim lasts, the circumstances involving unusual activity grow exponentially. Even Death seems to stop having its hold on the town of Endsville. Puddin is the show's equivalent of Kenny and seems to have the same problem. He can die, but he can't enter heaven or hell due to the Reaper being unable to take his soul. This is the show's basis for even existing. Like Sisyphus, Mandy and Billy have chained Death to a set spot, making it impossible for people to truly die. However, the longer it lasts, the more these effects seem normal to those affected by them.
In the end, Grim's true purpose is that he's meant to show kids that without death life is meaningless. Because everything must end, and if it doesn't, things can get out of hand fast. This show is like the Greek myth of Sisyphus on steroids, and with the correlation comes an equal amount of use for the moral. All I can say is that when Billy and Mandy pass on, will the curse continue or end?
