World Through Blank Eyes

'Yes. I have not been there for a while now, and I also want to check up on some things.'


Li Jun turned around slowly, looked at me in the eyes, then walked, and passed my side. He walked quietly with light steps towards the door to the mansion, but before he goes in he commented, "Looking forward to your company, Arthur. I hope this day gets us somewhere. See you by the door at 2:00"


It's already afternoon now, and I am expecting Arthur to be down by now. This was the first time for me to leave the Golden House with someone other than Jong Hyun. As much as I was excited, I could not stop worrying. I do not like changes, but I liked Arthur. 


And as expected, He was there. at that moment, I thanked God for very long. This was the first time for me to go out this easily and without having to fight someone.


Because of me - lacking the ability to teleport- we had to talk our way down the mountain. 


People call this time of the year 'The Breeze of Winter' where the weather is cold but not cold enough to leave trees leafless. And the sun is out, but the heat can't touch your skin, because of its breezes coolness. 


In a mountain covered with tall, high trees that stretch its arms to infinity, it was easy to get lost, but there was a one lined root that drove its way from up the mountain where the Golden House was to down around town.


"We did not have forests like these from where I came from." started ACF


"We had many. Indeed, my house wasn't very far from one. It's nice out there."


"Are you an only child? [ Arthur opens his mouth slightly to reply] NO... let me take a guess."


"You're very quiet and don't speak a lot. Out of the spotlight, yet unique. Hm... A middle child?"


"True. I am a middle child. The middle of five. [ACF smirks] I see, You like the fact you got that right. What about you? And I don't do guessing."


"An only child. I'm an only child. I do have my siblings though; ten of them"


"No, we lived together. The Master told us we were siblings. To be honest with you, I miss them... How long has it been? A little over 3 years."


"Master? May I ask how did you all meet?"
