Memories

Mo Jingze left after smiling and strode towards the conference hall where the meeting was going to take place. Xu Xin sighed in relief, after finally understanding his second boss's plan, he followed closely behind.

Mo Jingze very well knew that there was no way he could convince his big brother in 5 mins so replacing him was the only option, besides if there was something bothering Mo Xiao so much it was best to leave him alone for some time.

Mo Jingze entered the conference hall just on time. The employees were naturally curious about why was the big boss suddenly replaced, but the females were satisfied with this outcome. Jingze had quite a cheerful and flirtatious nature unlike his cold and aloof brother. Mo Xiao never entertained any females near him but Jingze was just the opposite. But both the brothers were definitely devils when working.

Jingze took the seat at the head of the table and the meeting gradually started. Though all thought that Jingze knew nothing about today's meeting, but these thoughts of the employees died down as soon as he opened his mouth, he knew things, infact he was quite well informed about it.

He naturally highlighted the flaws in their words also corrected the plans for the future. The meeting lasted for nearly three tiresome hours, many plans were altered but most of them were accepted. As soon as he left the hall, he asked Xu Xin about Mo Xiao's condition.

After knowing that, he was still in his office, he decided to visit him. Jingze wanted to know what exactly happened, but when he entered Mo Xiao's cabin all he saw was a person wearing glasses between stacks of documents on both sides, reviewing them. Jingze smiled lightly looking at his brother, but decided not to disturb him, he turned and left. While exiting the office he wished Xu Xin luck and made his way towards his own company.

Xu Xin was confused at first, but after peeking in the cabin he understood that he had to work overtime today because his boss switched on his workaholic mode. He knocked on cabin door and went in when permitted, Mo Xiao knew that Jingze took his place at the meeting, so Xu Xin informed him about the plans, alterations and decisions taken by Jingze in order to confirm them. Mo Xiao felt that the plans were nearly perfect so did not object anything, but he still cancelled a program and told Xu Xin to tell the planning department that it needed to be reviewed. Mo Xiao's gaze returned to the contracts before him.

Mo Xiao returned home when his family was dining downstairs, he looked at his grandfather at which his grandfather nodded, acknowledging, afterwards he washed his hands and sat with them. Jingze wanted to ask him what exactly happened but before he could speak Mo Xiao glared at him, telling him to shut his mouth. But he knew that he could not run away from those questions. Mo Xiao called Elder Jing after dinner to know Sia's condition. He tensed after knowing that she haven't woken up yet. Elder Jing continued, "Do you know who was the culprit is?"

"I have assigned my men to find him till tomorrow. "

"Besides, be on time on friday. That's all I can do, rest it's her wish I won't interfere anymore." Elder Jing wanted to ask him about reason for this proposal but refrained himself. "How do you still remember her?"he asked but was answered by a long silence.

"I wanted to visit her." he was firm. Elder Jing was furious when he didn't received his answer. Mo Xiao waited for an answer but heard a beep of ended call. Mo Xiao moved towards his balcony to relieve his stress by lighting a cigarette. Few drags calmed his nerves but he still couldn't help drifting back in his memories. A smile escaped his lips when he thought about that gunshot, that scream, that feeling. He went to his study to work and wait for Elder Jing's confirmation that Sia woke up and was fine.

It was already midnight when Sia opened her eyes and noticed that she was in the hospital. The last moment she remembered was that feeling, before she could gather her thoughts the door of her room opened and she was greeted with a smile on one face and frown on another, she chuckled at this sight. Elder Su turned towards her sight and noticed the frown on her Grandpa's face, he couldn't help smiling deeper. Looking at Sia, the anger and worry in Elder Jing dissipated in matter of seconds.

Before anyone could say anything, Sia's smile suddenly faded and she asked with a frown, "Who brought me here? I remember the dash but later," she held aching head and her frown deepened, she couldn't remember anything after that. She glanced at her grandfather but he was silent. Elder Su wanted to let her know what happened but Grandfather Jing suddenly spoke, "You should rest right now, we just came to see you when nurse informed us that your awake, Also, eat something before you sleep. Goodnight, dear."

He also dragged Elder Su out of the room leaving behind Sia on her own. Shortly after that the nurse entered with a tray of food for her. Elder Jing texted Mo Xiao that Sia was fine now.

She asked the nurse for her phone. She searched for a number in the list and dialed the number.

As soon as the call connected, a familiar voice rang, "I'm sorry for that dash sweetheart. It wasn't on purpose, I swear."
