I Can Summon Lightening!

What the hell was I thinking when I attacked the monster. It simply smacked me with it's tail and I hit the wall.

"Adrian!!" I heard Isabella's worried voice. But I couldn't say anything. My whole body ached and my mind was spinning. I couldn't think straight anymore.

'Don't give up.' in my mind. I was uncertain who said that. But I suddenly sensed my pain dissolving. I was able to focus again.

"Adrian!!!" Isabella yelled again. I rose and looked reassuringly at her. But I distracted her by doing so. The Lydian drakon tackled her with it's head, she stumbled and went rolling across the field. She didn't move or tried to get up.

Then... something happened. I felt a tug in the pit of my stomach. Rage gushed all over my body. I felt a sudden surge of strength. The air around me electrified and my body...lifted up. I could control the air and it seemed to comply with my command. I was literally flying!!

This would have been pretty awesome if Isabella wouldn't have been hurt and the fact that I still had a lunatic, ugly monster who smelled like toilet sludge, to deal with.

Then...an idea struck my mind.

I lifted myself above the drakon's head, who tried to burn me with it's fiery breathe but I dodged it everytime like I have been practicing it for years.

I stretched out my hands towards the sky and the it rumbled. Flashes of lightening filled the stadium. I willed all the thunder to unite in my both palms and it did. I felt immense power within me and I struck the drakon with the most powerful lightening streak I could summon. It wailed in pain and hit one of the columns in the stadium which fell apart on the contact.

While the drakon was distracted, I flew towards Isabella and scanned her for any injuries. Thankfully, her condition was not serious.

"Isabella?" I shook her body "Isabella, are you alright? " I was worried sick. But then she fluttered open her eyes.

"Adr.. Adrian?"

"Oh, thank god. You're alright." I heaved a sigh of relief. She immediately stood up and scanned the surrounding but when she saw the Lydian drakon staggering, she looked at me with utter disbelief.

"How.."

"Believe me, I don't know." I was very uncomfortable with the shocked look she was giving me.

We didn't have much time to continue our small chat as the drakon was now wide awake and ready to swallow us for lunch.

"What do we do now?" I asked hopelessly. "Does this creature has any weakness?"

"Let me think. YES! Lydian drakon, their weakness is their eyes." she said and I tried to work on a... plan.

"Cover me." I said and she nodded without any question.

"Hey ugly! Where did you get this screwed face of yours!" She ran, yelling occasional insults at the drakon, who was getting flustered.

Without wasting a second, I carefully reached near the monster's tail. I flew high and landed on it's head. The monster didn't seem glad about my presence on his head and to be honest, neither was I. The drakon started spitting a greenish liquid on Isabella. Thankfully, she took cover behind a marble column. But as the liquid came in contact with the column, it... dissolved!

"ACID? This creature spits ACID, too!!!"

"It's not acid. It's acidic venom." Isabella yelled as she dodge the monster's another attack.

"Same difference." I yelled back at her.

The drakon was getting angrier. It shaked it's head and I fell. I was lucky that I could fly or otherwise the fall could have broken my few bones. I landed on my feet.

"Do something, FAST! " Isabella was now struggling to be alive as I monster attacked her with acidic venom and fire. I had to think something fast. Wait... I had a plan but I wasn't sure it will work or not. But it was worth a shot.

"Isabella, use your charmspeaking to clam it." I said.

"I told you. I can't control it!"

"Just believe yourself. I know, you can do it." I said and she murmured something in ancient Greek, maybe a curse, then took a deep breath.

"Mister drakon, please calm down." she said and the monster became puzzeled. I could bet the charmspeaking was working. Isabella was doing great. Now, I had to do my part.

I stealthily went near to the monster and while it was being affected by Isabella's charmspeak, I lifted myself towards it's head and drew my sword.

The sword flared with electricity. I held it high and hit the drakon's left eye, making it partially blind. The creature wailed and staggered backwards. I didn't give it time to recover from the injury and struck it with another flash of lightening. The monster collapsed on the ground and disintegrated into black mist.

I suddenly felt so weak. My vision blurred. My legs stumbled and I blacked out.
