Lightening?

I was dumbly staring at the door just then a boy came over.

"Hey, what are you staring at?" he asked.

"Umm, nothing." I said.

He was a tall boy with mediterranean complexion and Asian black eyes.

"You did pretty well yesterday." he said.

"Yesterday? You mean, I slept for a whole day." I asked and the corner of his lips curved.

"What do you expect after summoning two lightening streaks, huh?" he said in a matter-of-factly tone.

"Don't worry. You're fully healed now. And ready to follow our normal routine."

"Normal routine?"

"You'll see." and the boy left to tend the wound of another patient.

I stared at the glass of colorless liquid in my hands, wishing somebody would give me a straight answer for once. I gulped the liquid down. It felt surprisingly great. I thought this drink too, was godly stuff.

I stood and picked up my denim jacket from the chair beside the bed and walked out.

I had been sleeping for a day; the bright sunlight seemed almost blinding.

I was going to the same building where Isabella had led me and Apollo to meet Hecate the first time I was here.

"She's not there." I turned towards the direction of the voice. To my left was a small room and Isabella was standing on the door.

"Where is she? I want to talk to her." I asked and she came towards me.

"She has gone to Mount Olympus*. To the Council of the Gods." she said. "She'll be back by dusk."

"Come." and she rushed back into the room. I followed her.

"What is this place?" I asked.

"Armoury."

We entered the dark room. It was obvious that this place hadn't been cleaned for aeons. Even a spider would feel embarrassment in making it's home here.

"Are you sure it's not a junkyard." I jokingly said and she glared at me. "Umm, sorry."

"You need a new weapon. Your last one destroyed in the fight." she handed me a sword to try.

I lifted it but couldn't balance it. I shook my head. "Not this one."

"Try this." she pointed to a spear. I tried it too.

"Nope."

And then she showed me numerous weapons. Seriously, I had tried so many weapons that day that I won't even look at any weapon again for at least one lifetime.

Then... I saw something shimmering in the corner. I didn't know what happened to me, but I was attracted to it. I lifted it up. Wow! it was perfectly balanced. I felt so drawn towards it. I unsheathed the sword. Holding it in my hands, I got the feeling that this sword had been abandoned for a long time. Still it was shining so brightly as if it had been created just then.

"I want this one." I said. Isabella looked at the sword in my hands. She stared at me with her I-can't-believe you look.

"What?"

"Adrian, where'd you get that?" She sounded pretty shaken up as if I had just invented the cure for cancer.

"Umm, it was kept here, in the corner." I pointed to the place where I found this abandoned sword.

"Please, keep it back. You can't own it."

"Why can't he?" said someone from behind. We looked at the door and Hecate was standing there. She smiled at me.

"Off course you can have it, dear." she moved forward. She took the sword from my hands and examined it.

"It's the Sword of Peleus." she handed it back to me and put her right hand over it. Hecate closed her eyes and muttered something in ancient Greek. The sword began to glow! She stayed in that position for, approximately, a minute and then opened her eyes. The glow of the sword faded too.

"What you did just now?" I asked.

"Nothing much just put a protective spell on this sword." she paused and looked deeply in my eyes.

"This is a perfect sword for you, Adrian. Just be careful." and she disappeared into golden mist.

"What the heck did she just say?"

"Can't you be serious for one goddamned second." she stared at me angrily and I decided it's better to be quiet. Because Isabella can do some serious magic stuff too.

"Okay, so can go and eat something. 'Cause, I don't know about you but I'm dying of hunger." I said.

"Let's go to the dining area." she said and ran out.

"Ahh! Why am I stuck in this goddamned place!" I muttered under my breath. But I had no better option than to follow her. So, I sheathed the sword, and it disappeared.

"Whoa!! What happened? Where'd it go?" I looked around nervously. Hecate must have done something to that sword. I imagined the sword and it appeared in my hands again.

I willed it to disappear and it did.

"Hey Lightening, you waiting for an invitation?"

Isabella was waiting for me outside the room.

What did she call me?

'Lightening?'
