Finally home

"It's time to wake up!"

"Miss! Miss! It's time to wake up!," Ming'er said. QiuLan didn't move so Ming'er started shaking QiuLan. "Stop! Why can't I just sleep in peace?!," QiuLan yelled. "Sorry miss. But it's time to wake up." Ming'er looked down at her feet and QiuLan felt bad. "It's alright," said QiuLan while she was patting Ming'er's head.

QiuLan went out of the tent and started stretching. The soldiers that were patrolling glared at QiuLan. {...Why do I feel like some people are staring at me...} QiuLan looked around and saw the soldiers glaring at her. QiuLan quickly walked away. QiuLan sat outside and was looking at the view.

"What are you looking at?" QiuLan turned around and saw the general. "I am looking at the view. The view is fascinating," she said. "Yes, it is. When have you been interested in landscape?," he asked. {...Can you guys stop asking me these question! My mind is gonna blow if you guys don't stop...} "You would get fascinated in the landscape when you get lost in the landscape. You would have to pay attention to your surroundings to help you go to the right path," QiuLan said with a smile. The general nodded and looked at the view.

"What's your name? Are you guys getting ready for war or something?," QiuLan asked. "My name is Zhang Lei. You could call me general Lei. We are not going to war. It's just that your father is worried about you," he said. "Well if he was worried about me, he would have tried to find me himself. Also you have the surname Zhang." "Your father is busy so he couldn't try to find you himself. But at least he sent us to find you," he said.

{...Dude. You have the surname Zhang. Your family member is going to marry my father. Don't you have anything to say?...}

"What busy affairs is he doing. Is he doing the wedding preparation to marry aunt Zhang?," she asked. {...You better not change the topic!...} "Yes, he is," he put his head down and looked at the ground. "It's alright. I may not like aunt Zhang but I know you are a kind person," QiuLan said with a smile. The general looked at QiuLan and was shocked. "Uh. Um, thank you. I thought you would hate me," he said. "No, I don't." "General! General! It's time to go!," a soldier yelled. "Let's go," General Lei said.

General Lei gave QiuLan a horse to ride on. The soldier whispered something to the general and the general looked embarrassed. "What's wrong?," QiuLan asked. "They are probably telling the general that you don't know how to ride a horse," Ming'er whispered. QiuLan smiled and grabbed the bridle. "I want to ride it. Can I?" "You can ride it but you don't know how to ride the horse. You would get hurt," General Lei said. "Who said I can't. I am a general's daughter. If I don't know how to ride a horse, our family would get humiliated," QiuLan said with a smile. General Lei looked shocked. {...She said our family...}

QiuLan got on the horse and started riding it. The general went in a horse and they were going back to the city.

{...This is a good horse!

Dude. Aren't you afraid that the horse would have some problems? Aren't you afraid that the general might just be acting?

I am not afraid. I am positively sure he is a kind-hearted man. He is not acting...}

QiuLan looked back at Ming'er. QiuLan got her hand out and reached for Ming'er. Ming'er looked up and saw a hand out. "Get up," QiuLan said. Ming'er grabbed the hand and QiuLan pulled Ming'er onto the horse. Ming'er landed right behind QiuLan and on the horse. "Are you tired?," QiuLan asked. "Not anymore," Ming'er said with a smile.

After a while Ming'er pointed her finger at something. "Look! We are almost there miss! We are almost home!," Ming'er yelled. QiuLan looked closely and saw a wall. It was a very tall and big wall. {...They must have a very strong defense...} They moved more closer to the wall and saw a open door. She saw a board and it had writing on it. It said East. They went in and there was a lot of people walking around. "Woah. It's so busy," QiuLan said. "Yes, it is," General Lei said. General Leu waved a finger and the soldiers walked away.

They arrived at Li mansion yet there was nobody to pick them up other than red curtains. "Why is there nobody to pick up their miss!," Ming'er yelled. The general turned red as a tomato. QiuLan saw the general's face and burst out laughing. "Haha! Haha!" The general looked at QiuLan and saw her laughing. "What are you laughing?," he asked. "Your face is so red. Sorry but it's funny," QiuLan said. Ming'er was so confused.

QiuLan calmed herself down and said, "Today is the day that father is going to marry aunt Zhang. So they are inside celebrating." "Oh," Ming'er said. "Let's go inside!," QiuLan said. Ming'er knocked on the door but no one answered. "Why is no one answering?!," Ming said. "Should we wait?," the general asked. "No," QiuLan said. "Then what do we do?," asked the general. "Today is their wedding so we must not disturb them. We should go through the side door. You are aunt Zhang's brother so you must join the wedding. So we must get in quickly," QiuLan said. They went to the side door and it was actually opened. They went in and heard a lot of noises. "We should dress up first before we get in. I have to change my dirty clothes while you need to change your armor," QiuLan said. The general walked away and Ming'er brought QiuLan to her room.
