Twelve Times More And A Super Evolution

Sunlight poured from the sky and spilled on the creature, reflecting a blinding gold incandescence.

It was a golden lion!

Different from normal mutated lions, it was exaggeratingly large, two-stories tall like the jumbo crocodile. Its fur seemed to be woven from golden silk and it embodied the wilderness and belligerence.

Consequent to the Golden Lion's appearance, the jumbo crocodile abruptly stopped its pursuit, as if having whiffed the danger it radiated. The reptile bared its teeth and growled twice at the Golden Lion, like it was telling him that the prey belonged to it and to give way.

The Golden Lion stared at the reptile icily and roared into the sky, emanating the nature of the king of animals; its front paws did not step back and took a step forward instead as if declaring to the crocodile that this was its territory.

Lin Chao was quite dumbstruck looking at the Golden-Blooded lion monster.

Based on the number of animals in this zoo, it was not a surprise that there was a Golden-Blooded mutated beast but this lion was different from the Golden Hound. It was distinct that it was no longer a young but a maturing beast that had evolved three to four times. It already possessed the actual Golden Blood!

Nevertheless, Lin Chao dared not harbor any ulterior motive right now. He could only stand there meekly and try to minimize his existence lest he was discovered.

Roar! Roar!

Both towering beasts snarled at each other. Lin Chao's eardrums throbbed from the resonating soundwaves while his heart trembled like a drum being beaten.

After a moment of confrontation, the Golden Lion finally lost its patience and pawed the jumbo crocodile with a snarl.

The jumbo crocodile took a step back in evasion but just as Lin Chao thought that it was going to leave, it came back with a lightning speed ambush as its gigantic mouth aimed toward the Golden Lion's neck. If the lion was clutched by the reptilian jaws with the biting force in the unit of tons, it would be difficult for it to escape; possibly, it could die bleeding too much from the maul!

Roar!

The Golden Lion reacted swiftly. With a jerk, it avoided the sudden chomp and rammed its head against the side of the crocodile's jaws, causing the reptile to slightly lose balance before it champed towards the black crocodile skin.

Its efforts expedient as crocodile skin was too tough. It was connected in a spread and there were sharp mutated fins that protruded on the surface. The lion's hasty counterattack did not result in any particular effect.

Watching as both giant beasts were engaged in a fight, Lin Chao immediately hunched himself to carefully go around their battleground and flee from the side.

Flew!

One of the jumbo crocodile's front limbs kicked forward out of the blue. – It was fast like a bolt of lightning and it was coincidentally the direction of Lin Chao's escape.

With a squint, Lin Chao executed Speed Enhancement and sped toward the side.

There was a bam. The evasion was timely but Lin Chao's right arm was an unfortunate casualty. He instantly felt his whole arm going numb while his body flew ahead uncontrollably.

Falling on the lawn, Lin Chao felt a gush of something from his chest. He forced the heaving impulse down and looked at his right arm that was laying limp. It was dislocated.

Lin Chao promptly grabbed his shoulder and the sound of the bones relocating sounded after a twist and a push. His arm recovered the mobility but it was still numb to senses while blood oozed from his pores.

A gentle touch to the arm was all it took for Lin Chao to know that the bones in his arm had all shattered. If he could not heal them in time, it was highly possible that his arm would be crippled from now on.

Lin Chao inhaled a deep breath and dashed to the back of the jumbo crocodile while hugging his elbow.

Zhao Bingbing and the team had already reached the entrance of the sewer, the lady being the last one to enter. Perching herself on the sewer's ladder, her head was only partly exposed outside. Her eyes glowed in a soft blue as she stared at Lin Chao retreating back, her gaze pondering.

Lin Chao went round the jumbo crocodile's battleground and came to the battered metal fence behind it, going across the fence and arriving at the leopard's zone.

He had thoroughly exhausted his cell energy and could no longer use Speed Enhancement, maintaining a velocity of eight times faster than normal.

Boom! Boom!

Behind him, both beasts were in for a kill. Each collision shook the nearby ground like a 3.0 or 4.0 scale earthquake.

Turning back for a glance, Lin Chao thanked his luck. If it were not for the Golden Lion's sudden appearance, it was hard to tell if he could hold out until he reached the metropolitan area outside the zoo.

He adjusted his breathing and went back the same way he came.

A blackened drain of soil was stretched from the faraway with countless footprints around the canal. Everywhere the crocodile had gone past was flattened, be it a small forest or pool, they were utterly destroyed. It was evident how much of a monstrosity the jumbo crocodile was!

Lin Chao ran along the drain that was produced from the jumbo croc's stomach rubbing against the earth and soon saw some mutated beasts collateral from the reptile's race, its footprint indentations made beside the trail. The corpses were fully embedded inside the soil, flat as a sheet, with their internal organs and flesh squashed, looking like bright red marks.

The purpose of Lin Chao's risky return was for these mutated beasts' corpses!

During his earlier desperate dash that intentionally targeted groups of animals to shake off the crocodile, the mutated beasts killed from being stepped on or flung away by the jumbo crocodile were countless!

These were genetic zests!

Lin Chao would never miss such an excellent opportunity. The trail was still reeking with the jumbo crocodile's scent, so no monsters would dare approach it for the time being. The loot was all his.

Retrieving his flying knife, approaching the incomplete carcasses, Lin Chao cut them open and searched for the genetic zests in the flesh. Upon swallowing a few of them, he felt his injury considerably healed and the cell energy within him replenished.

He shifted to using Speed Enhancement and swept over the rest of the drain from the leopard's zone to the bears, the tigers…

As Lin Chao went back along the jumbo crocodile's trail, he had collected twenty six genetic zests just from three zones and had increased his physique to ten times stronger.

Ten times! It was the limit of a Level F Evolved!

If he went past the threshold, he would progress into Level E Evolved and both his abilities and physique would be strengthened.

When Lin Chao got to the bird's zone, he immediately saw the massive amount of birds, peacocks, swans, and whatnot that were stampeded to death on the ground.

Collecting the genetic zests manually, he unexpectedly came across a green genetic zest in one of the peacocks' bodies.

Consuming the zest, the leap of enhancement in his physique was immediately felt by Lin Chao. He went from ten times to twelve times but the expected genetic transformation and evolution did not happen. There was only the physical enhancement.

'Why…' Lin Chao was perplexed.

'My physique is already more than ten times but I didn't evolve into Level E. Could it be due to me being a Multi Evolved so my cell saturation level is relatively higher?'
