Three days have passed since I woke up in Brahms's body. I can walk, and finally, I can take a bath. The bathroom is very luxurious. A couple of servants gave me body scrubs, washed my hair, etc. It's like a spa!. After taking a bath, I tried to put on the clothes myself but the servants forbid me and they eventually dressed me. I forgot that I'm a noble, but it feels strange to be dressed by someone else. Then when my hair was styled, I finally could see my face through the mirror.
Damn, this is how I look like now?! What pretty boy.
I looked a lot like Mrs.Mariette. Long pale eyelashes, eyes that reminds me of daffodils, peach-coloured lips, a beauty mark under my left eye, perfect— everything is perfect.
But it's not normal for a boy to be 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 pretty.
Also, is this why Mercie hated my guts? because I look prettier than her?
I muffled my laughter, receiving a strange look from the servants.
After everything is done, a maid told me that breakfast is ready. The maid who had always been by my side since Brahms was young. Her name is Esma, and she is a servant who diligently took care of me when I was unconscious. Brahms really like her.
"Young Master, you look more radiant ever since you woke up!" Esma beams happily.
"Heh, really?" I asked, grinned at her.
Esma blushed. "Yes, you never smiled that wide ever since I worked in this house, and it's been ten years,"
"Sorry 'bout that," I sheepishly scratch the back of my head.
"And you're speaking informally too! you sounded like a completely different person, Young Master,"
It's because I'm a completely different person, Esma.
The two of us walked towards the dining room. Everyone is already there. Mercie— like always— gave me a quick murderous look before giving me a fake smile.
"Good morning my beloved brother! come take a seat beside me!" she happily points at the empty seat beside her.
Tch, I'm not sitting near a witch.
"Maybe next time my 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 sister. I wanted to sit next to our dear mother,"
Everyone in the room seemed taken aback by my strange action. It's been three days but they still can't get used to the sudden change of their quiet Young Master. Mrs.Mariette— no, my mom, smiled warmly at me as I walked to the empty seat next to her.
"You never refuse your sister's request before," she said.
"Ah, I only wish to do whatever I please, mother,"
Dad laughed at my reply.
"That's my son! I never see you like this. It's making me happy," he smiled at me. I smiled back at him.
Mercie gave me another sharp glare, I only smile innocently at her. But my smile turned into a smirk. It seems like she saw that and wide her eyes in shock.
I'm not scared of you anymore, sister.
I confidently take a bite on my food. Don't worry old Brahms, I will repay the ruthless treatments that Mercie did to you.
After breakfast, dad goes to his office to do some work and mom left the house to attend a social gathering with her friends. The two of them haven't allowed me to return to my classes, because I'm still recovering. So I guess I'll just loiter around the mansion!
Brahms never explore the mansion due to his illness. He stayed either in the library or his bedroom.
I don't care, I'm going to explore this mansion til' dusk.
"Where are you going, Young Master?"
Esma hurriedly walked towards me while pulling her skirt up so she won't trip. I looked back at her, then gave her my best grin.
"Um, perchance doing a mansion reconnaissance?"
"You're still recovering, you're not allowed to go outside," Esma huffed, crossing her hands. I groaned, slump my back as I give her my puppy eyes.
"Please? I'm so bored,"
"You usually sit and read a book when you're feeling 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥, Young Master,"
I let out another exaggerated sigh. I don't think Esma would allow me to go out no matter what. The old Brahms is very obedient too. But I'm the new Brahms now! It's bribing time.
"I'll give you a hug if you let me out?"
"No,"
"I'll braid your hair?"
"You can't braid, Young Master,"
"Dang," I muttered quietly, squinted my eyes at Esma. Esma suppressed her giggles with her hands.
"Brother, you wanted to go out of the mansion?"
Esma and I turned around simultaneously, finding Mercie walked towards us with a nauseating smile of hers. Of course, Esma didn't see it. Only I know Mercie's true colours.
"Yes," I replied nonchalantly.
"Great! do you mind accompanying me in the garden? It's a beautiful day today! and I want to share this blessed morning with my brother," she happily wrapped her arms around my forearm.
Ick, she reeks of perfume. I'm trying to keep a poker face after her perfume hits my nostrils, then gave her a bright smile.
"How can I refuse my beautiful sister's request?"
Upon hearing my confident reply, Mercie's smile faded a little, and her eyes are no longer smiling. She glared sharply at me but go back to normal as she looked at Esma.
"Esma, It's fine to have a short stroll in the garden right?"
"Hm," Esma is hesitant. She wanted to say no, but she thought the sibling love between Mercie and Brahms are so big it always melt her heart. Not just her heart, but everyone in this mansion too. "Oh alright," she gave in.
"Yay!" Mercie beams.
I mentally rolled my eyes.
Can't wait to see what she's going to do with me when there's just the two of us in the garden.
