chapter 17- lets go back
back at the dorm

Kasey, Sean and Eva sit there in silence wondering what is going to happen now when Eva's phone starts ringing
Eva answers to hear Leo's voice on the other side
"hey is everything alright" Eva says sitting up quickly with worry in her voice as she hears Leo speak
"the baddie ran away but mom passed out, she's hurt really bad and she has her ears and tail out" Leo explains with fear and worry in his voice as its shaking
Eva's eyes widen in shock after hearing what Leo said as she stands up
"ill come get her wait for me and make sure no-one sees her" Eva says as she walks towards the door
Eva hangs up the phone as she grabs the door
"what happened?" Sean asks standing up looking at Eva as Kasey turns to hear she says
"Aaron ran away but Kelly's badly hurt and she passed out so she cant get here on her own" Eva explains walking towards Kasey
"she has her ears and tail out, I don't know of her current condition" Eva says as she leans down whispering to Kasey
Eva stands back up straight as Kasey stands up
Sean looks at them with a worried look in his eyes
Kasey looks over at Sean
"ill go with and help stay here for now" Kasey says looking at Sean as he starts heading towards the door
"ok" Sean says as he watches them walk out and close the door
Racheal looks up at Sean to see tears falling down his face with a worried look in his eyes
"why is papa crying?" Racheal asks surprising Sean as he looks at her
Sean gets a confused look on his face as he raises his hand up and wipes the tears surprised to find them
Sean uses his other hand and puts it over his chest where his heart is as he looks at the tears on his hand as they continue falling form his face
"it hurts" Sean says putting his hand down while looking at Racheal
"is it supposed to hurt this much" Sean asks Racheal
Racheal looks at him confused as he stands up on the couch and hugs him as Sean lets both his hands drop as he looks down at Racheal who looks up at him as she's hugging him
"don't worry papa, I'm sure mama will be fine" Rachel says smiling trying to cheer Sean up
Sean smiles back at Racheal and puts one of his hands on her head from behind as he smiles back
"yea I'm sure she will be" Sean says with a hint of hope now in his eyes

with Kasey and Eva

Kasey and Eva arrive at the scene to see Leo sitting beside Kelly whos passed out and covered in blood and bruises
Eva and Kasey stand there for a moment looking down at Kelly in shock
"please help" Leo asks as Eva goes to pick him up while Kasey picks up Kelly and puts her on his back
"we cant take her back while she's like this" Eva says walking over to Kasey while holding Leo
"we have to, we cant take her to a hospital" Kasey says as Eva takes her jacket off and puts it over Kelly to hide her ears and tail
"at least her claws are put away now" Kasey says starting to walk back as Eva follows behind
"your ankle seems to be better" Kasey says
"wow I actually forgot about that" Eva says looking down at her ankle
"the pain will probably come back later" Eva says shrugging it off as they continue to walk back

at Kelly's moms house

Kelly opens her eyes slightly before closing them again before she opens them slowing to find herself staring at a ceiling then closes her eyes again then opening them wide and fast as she comes to the realization that she was outside before and now she was not looking at a sky
Kelly sits up quickly but then grabs onto her stomach and clench's it as she groans in pain coming from it
Kelly looks around to find herself in her old room
Kelly looks over at the door as she hears it opens to see her mom walk in
"your awake" her mom says as she walks towards the bad as Kelly slowly moves to the edge of the bed and hangs her legs off with her tail sitting beside her
"you feeling better?" her mom asks as she sits beside her as Kelly moves her tail onto her lap
"sorta I guess" Kelly says as she looks down at her wounds and then at her tail as she remembers what happened
Kelly quickly looks up at her mom as she starts panicking
"where's Leo is he okay?" Kelly says as she panics and starts trying to get up
"calm down there he's alright he's resting right now but he seems really frightened" her mom says as she puts her hand on Kelly's shoulder to keep from getting up and calm her down
the image of Leo's terrified face when he looked at Kelly then popped up in Kelly's head as she looks down in sadness and puts her hand on her tail that's back in her lap
"I forgot" Kelly's says to herself
they sit there for a minute before the thought or how Kelly came here occurred to her
"wait how did I get here" Kelly says looking over at her mom in confusion
"Kasey and Eva brought you here" her mom explains
"where are they now?" Kelly asks
"Kasey went to meet up with one his friends and go to the store and Eva's with Leo since she doesn't have anywhere to go right now she says and she wants to make sure your ok" her mom explains as she stands up and turns to look at Kelly
"if you want I can take you to her" her mom offers
Kelly stands up and follows her mom to where Eva and Leo is feeling nervous every step of the way as they get closer
finally they arrive and her mom opens the door as Kelly steps inside to see Leo resting in the bed while Eva's sitting in one of the chairs
Eva looks over at the door to see Kelly step in with her mom standing behind her beside the door as Kelly looks in and makes eye contact with Eva
Eva gets out of the chair and runs over to Kelly and hugs her in excitement and relief
"I'm so glad your okay" Eva says as she release from the hug as she looks at Kelly and smiles
"what did you expect I am the alpha after all did you really think he could defeat me?" Kelly says with a confident smile
Eva laughs a little at Kelly's comment
Eva turns around as her and Kelly looks towards the as they here movement of Leo sitting up
Leo looks at Kelly and Eva and is shocked to see Kelly as he gets up and runs towards her past Eva and hugs her
Kelly is shocked by Leo's actions but hugs him back and crouches down to where she's at his level once the hug is released
"you doing alright kiddo?" Kelly asks as she maintains a smile as tears start to form in Leo's eyes as he starts crying as Kelly's expression turns to shock and confusion
Leo wraps his arms around Kelly's neck as he buries his face in her shoulder as he continues to cry
Kelly hugs him back to comfort
"what are you crying for I'm right here aren't I?" Kelly says as he just continues crying into her shoulder until he feels something fluffy on touch his head
Leo stops and looks up slightly to see Kelly's tail
"looks like you stopped" Kelly says as Leo backs up an inch as his arms fall
Kelly brings her tail around to the side and brushes it against the side of Leo's face as he stands there enjoying how soft and fluffy it feels
Leo looks at Kelly as she smiling at him
"hmph not fair your distracting me" Leo says as he pushes the tail away and crosses his arms as he makes a pouting face
"but I got you to stop cry didn't I?" Kelly says as she uses her tail to wipe a tear off of Leo's eye and puts her tail behind her
"next time don't scare me like that" Leo says
"I should be saying that to you" Kelly says as she looks at Leo's arm where he was scratched and is now bandaged up
Kelly stands up ad looks down at Leo as he looks up at her
"come on we got to head back before Sean and Racheal worries" Kelly says as she reaches her hand out to Leo
Leo takes her hand and smiles
