Night had already arrived and her apartment was already stripped and items packed. She was in Joule's car. She had fallen asleep when she was startled awake. "We're here." His house was massive. A 'mansion' would best describe it. It was like he lived in a mall! She followed him to the door. By the door a muscular man sat in a chair. When he saw them he nodded, but didn't say anything. 'I guess Joule never brought someone home.' she thought. Joule led them into a bedroom. "The servants think we're engaged. Only a few know the truth, so, uh… I prepared this room for us." He blushed as he said this, which caused her to blush as well. They slept in the same bed and neither got much sleep.
They spent the whole night discussing what their interests were and their childhood. "Hey, Lilia, have you ever seen 'Les Miserables'?" "No, I haven't yet." "Do you want to see it this weekend? There will be a performance in a nearby city." "Really? That sounds amazing. It's a date then." Instantly realizing what she just said they had a slight blush. Unbeknownst to the other they both had a slight smile. They were going to become great 'friends'.
In the morning Joule woke up early to take a shower. Lilia woke up sprawled over the bed. Noticing it was empty she let out a sigh of relief. She wouldn't have to have an awkward conversation early in the morning. She wearily walked towards the bathroom to start her day. However, when she opened the door she found the bathroom occupied. Joule stood there in all his glory. His crotch not covered so much by a towel. His glorious abs and magnificent butt on display for her to see. She kept staring. First at his chest, slowly going down to his manhood. But, before she could he grabbed his towel to cover himself. "What are you doing? why didn't you knock?" he screamed, but because he was embarrassed it came out slightly like a whimper. "Ah, sorry. I should have knocked. Lock the door next time!" Lilia turned away. Joule screamed "Okay, but who opens a closed door without knocking?" Lilia just responded, "clothing." Joule slowly looked down at himself to realize he had dropped his towel while arguing. Lilia walked out of the room to wait for him to be more decent.
After half an hour had passed, he exited. Lilia used this time to change and use a different bathroom. She was waiting in the dining room eating breakfast. The room was huge and contained a glamorous chandelier. Joule walked over to Lilia swiftly and grabbed her shoulders. She blushed as he was right next to her face. He was oblivious to the blushing as he said, "Forget it!" Lilia, still trying to process what was happening didn't say anything, "For-get IT! The bathroom incident never happened." "That's too forward of you!" Joule, now on the ground, looked up at her and blushed realizing what he just did. "FORGET THAT TOO!"
A week passed like this and it was finally the day of the party. They really had bad luck, or good as most would call it. They would have to fake being an engaged couple and live like they had been for much, much longer. They both arrived at the party in fabulous attire. He wore a black business suit and had his hair combed back. His face looked stone-cold, but handsome. Many women on the street would swoon over him. She wore a long, lapis-colored dress. It fit tightly to emphasize her breasts. Her makeup fit perfectly with her face; amplifying her natural beauty, while not looking excessive. They walked in the entrance way together. They walked over to where Roy was. Following the script, Roy said, "Hey, this must be your fiance. Hello, my name is Roy." He kissed her hand to show respect. She tried not to gag at the thought that he might use this memory for perverted material.
"Yes, Lithia Aphros is my fiance." Bringing a no-name into a party full of rich assholes is one, a bad idea. and two, like going to a court and signing the documents. The news would quickly spread and assumptions would be made until it is assumed that she was pregnant after a one night stand and she was going after his money. Everyone set down their silver spoons and listened. Soon, many were going up to him gossiping and asking questions. Many women were pissed, even a few men. Straight or not he was handsome; women would swoon and men were envious.
After several minutes the host and hostess came. Joule's mother spoke first. "Can we talk in private? We're just so excited at the good news." Her smile was obviously faked and so was her speech.
They walked into a private meeting room with guarded doors. Joule and Lilia sat across from his parent's. Her "father-in-law" said, pissed, "Why haven't we heard about the engagement first? This needs to be discussed. It will affect the future of the family!" "I'm sorry Dad, but no matter what you say we love each other, and will be together." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, making them more uncomfortable. His mother spoke this time, "Oh, really, what makes her qualified?"
He already knew what to say. They had been planning it for weeks. "I'm guessing love is meaningless to you? She is an architect and has planned a building that will change lives and she can improve the company. Before you ask, it's confidential." He hoped the answer would satisfy them. His parents thought about it for a moment before his dad answered, "Okay, since you are so sure, we will ignore that matter. We will however find out her background and you will tell us about how you met. We're interested after all. Oh yeah, you have one year to have an heir." His parents smiled while this was said. The "love-birds" on the other hand were... less than happy. Lilia spoke for the confused Joule. "Sure, will do." But Lilia and Joule thought the same thing, 'What have we done?!'
The rest of the evening went smoothly. They chatted with the guests and retold how they met, all the while ignoring the hateful glares. The women were jealous of Lilia and some men were as well. The party took hours and their story retold dozens of times. As the end of the party neared Roy walked up to them with a smile. His smug face had an odd effect around people, making them want to hit him. "So, how are the newlyweds? How did the interrogation go?" Neither responded, so Roy continued, "Well, I guess they at least let you remain together. So, what else happened? Wait. Did they actually want a baby? Huh. I guess I was spot on with my guess." They both responded in harmony with a face of hatred. "Fuck off."
After the party ended, the trio went to Joule's place to discuss the elephant, or rather baby, in the room. They sat in the den on various furniture. "So, what do we do?",Lilia inquired. Roy replied with a face implying the utmost seriousness, "The only effective solution is to have a baby. They would find out if you adopted, and if you claimed infertility they would test you. We are backed into a corner." Joule and Lilia closed their eyes and sighed. It was too late for them to back out now. If they wanted to convince everyone they would have to have a child.
Considering the contract was formed for their own interests and not out of love, having a child would most likely end badly. "How much time do we have?", Lilia asked. "Considering my parents, a month or so. That's when we would have to announce it." Joule sighed. A month was not a long time. They would have only a month to 'prepare'.
