Chapter 6

Zheng Wei Jian placed Li Xiu Ying on his bed and called a maid to change her clothes. After the maid walked out did he finally go in and inspect the girl. Her black long hair was sprawled across his pillow causing him to smile, he paused and lifted his hand to his face, "This is the fourth time that I have smiled for a person." He shook his head clearing his thoughts and continued observing the beautiful girl. Her eyebrows were sharp and clam, making one wonder what she was thinking about. His gaze slowly shifted to her button nose and then to her rose lips.

He placed his thumb on her lips and lightly rubbed them, thinking about the tenderness of her lips against his. Slowly he bent down and lightly kissed her lips wanting more of her soft lips.Suddenly there was a jolt beneath his lips, quickly he sat up and noticed her she was cringing. "Am I that nasty," he asked himself.

Li Xiu Ying started to whimper in her sleep and scrunch her eyebrows. Tears soon started to roll down her face as she kept whimpering. Zheng Wei Jian gently whipped her tears and cupped her cheek, "Shh, you are safe now," he whispered. As if waiting for him to say that she was safe she calmed back down. He stood up preparing to leave and let her sleep but he felt a tug on his robe. A small hand held onto his sleeve pulling him back to the girl in his bed.

He turned around and saw Li Xiu Ying sitting up and looking down at his sleeve that was firmly grasped in her hand, "Please don't leave." Li Xiu Ying looked up into his eyes revealing her brown eyes that now seemed to be ringed in red. He stared into her eyes trying to figure out why his heart is acting up. She looked down at her hand and slowly let go of his robe, "I'm sorry."

Zheng Wei Jian quickly grasped her hand as if it was his lifeline. "I will not leave you," he sat beside her as she moved over making more room. Slowly she started to fall back to sleep, Zheng Wei Jian felt her head fall onto his shoulder. He turned to look at her but he could only see the top of her hair. After laying her on the bed he moved his chair next to the bed to watch over her. Soon he fell asleep holding her hand.

"Interesting, very interesting," said a certain cat.

Li Xiu Ying woke to something heavy on her arm and chest. When she opened her eyes she noticed a beautiful white cat on her chest, then she turned her head to find out what was on her arm. To her surprise it was Zheng Wei Jian.

Zheng Wei Jian felt Li Xiu Ying move, so he remained still. He noticed that she stopped moving so he decided it was his turn, "Morning," he said in his husky voice, making Li Xiu Ying turn scarlet.

She decided to play it off as though nothing happened and moved the cat from her chest to her lap. She sat up slowly so as to not disturb the cat, "Where am I?" Staring directly into Zheng Wei Jian's eyes she waited for her answer.

"You are in my room, the side effects were too strong. May I ask why you were attacking everyone," he asked in his husky voice. Zheng Wei Jian watched as she adjusted herself more to get comfortable. He felt a strange sense of desire for her to remain in his bed. Li Xiu Ying, noticed the strange look in his eyes, she did not understand what he was thinking about so she did not question it.

"The side effect," she unhurriedly spoke, "shows you what you will become in the future. Mine for example shows that I will become a demon, so I am trying to find Wang Li Jun. Once I find him I will bring him back with me and then it would be the end for me after he dies. I will die too." Li Xiu Ying lightly petted the cat after she finished her words.

Zheng Wei Jian studied Li Xiu Ying as she had spoken and while he spoke he noticed a pain in his heart, "What is this," he thought. He regained his composure when he noticed that Li Xiu Ying was no longer on his bed. "Where are you going," he asked.

Li Xiu Ying walked to the door and turned around still holding the white cat, "I am going to investigate, starting with this cat," then she walked out the door.

"The cat," he contemplated, "Why does she need the cat?"
