10. Clan meet.

Morning at Lu Yini courtyard is simple. After waking up, Chen Danshou groom himself up. He wants to show himself more dazzling than before. He's remembers how the clan members always treat the previous him, so he's gonna make sure to shut those people's mouths. He's also got to make those people see how good he is later in the clan meet competition.

"Danshou, are you awake yet?"

His mother voice can be hear outside his room's door. Danshou open his door's room and see his mother and sister looks beautiful like always. He smile widely and let them in. When those two get inside his room, some maid bring breakfast and put in the table.

"Let's eat together. Mother made all these favorite food you'll like."

The three of them eat together while his mother talked about the happenings inside the clan while he's missing. After breakfast, the three of them walked to the training arena. The clan meet competition gonna be held there.

Chen Mohe walked outside his courtyard looking presentable not like before. He used to dress simply when he's doing idle jobs, like sweeping in front of clan library. People that knows him always like to said he is a weird man while he just like to do what he likes. As an ancestors that got the highest power inside the Chen clan, Chen Mohe hates fake people. This is the reason he likes Chen Danshou; his great-grandson. After he found out the child back and will be participate at the clan meet, he can't hold his excitement. That's why he groom himself so he can go watching the boy amaze others.

"Mohe, why are you looks good today?"

One of the ancestors; Chen Molun, his best friend frowning looking at him. His old friend liked to wears simple clothes usually.

Chen Mohe just grin and said; "I want to see the clan meet competition."

Hearing that, surprised look made Chen Molun old face looks funny.

"What's you said?! Want to see clan meet competition?!"

Chen Molun can't believe the words Chen Mohe said. His friend never involved himself to any worldly affairs since he's become Heaven-level expert. He's always indulging himself in self-enlightenment just so he can continue break higher level in his cultivation. That's why he always sweep the floor himself, being humble when he's the strongest ancestor in Chen clan. Hearing disbelieve tone in his friend voice, Chen Mohe smile and just leaving the other.

"Wa-wait, i'm coming with you."

"If you want to come with me, you can but you can't let clan elders notice us."

"Huh?! Why?"

"I don't want others to flatter us. I want to watch quietly."

After talking, the two ancestors using their movement skill go to the training arena.

Clan meet at Chen clan always being held half year. In the clan meet, branch members of Chen clan will be participate too. There's four branch of Chen clan, the members lives outside the Chen clan big residence. They live at four directions at Meryu Kingdom. They take care Chen clan's business outside the Meryu capital. Inside Meryu kingdom capital; Nore, the business being take care of by the main clan members. The ones with low level cultivation and already past 20.

At clan meet, more than 100 clan members will participate. They must be under 30 years old to join the fun. Every member that can be include in the top 20 can stay and be cultivated by the main clan. That's why many branch members participate in it. And the main members tried to get in the top 20 just so the clan higher-up management can care about them more.

Right now many members at young generation registered themself for the competition. They already come to register since early morning and make lines. The main clan members line and branch line for registration is different.

In the main clan members line, the registration staff is come from the inner elder of the clan while the branch members line is from outer elder.

"Hey, look! That's Chen Houmin and his sisters."

The main clan members in chaos now when there's people recognize three people walking to main clan members line. They saw a handsome slack-face young man walking to the line with two beautiful young girls.

The young man is the Chen clan first young master from the main branch. His name is Chen Houmin. He's age is 19 years old. He's the patriarch's son with the second wife; Ma Wenchi. Because of his talent, he got Hou in his name like the patriarch . In Chen clan main branch young generation, the ones with talent will get Hou character in their name.

The two beautiful girl in his side is his two sister. The one with gentle look is Chen Houlin. She's a year younger than Chen Houmin. Because of her looks, she's a fiance of the Ma's second young master from main family; Ma Henyuan, one of the four strongest young master in the younger generation of four big-clan. The girl with a naughty look is Chen Houmin youngest sister; Chen Houyan. She's the second young miss of Chen clan. In the few months, she will be 16 years old.

"First young master, are you and the young misses want to register?" the elder that take care of the registration run to the three of them.

Chen Houmin look at the inner elder and just nod to his question. He dislike the people that liked to flatter him like this. These people make his mother wants more than her share of power inside the clan. Chen Houmin knows his mother as the branch member of Ma clan before like the Chen clan power as the strongest clan from the four big-clan. Chen Houmin realize this is one of the reason his mother tried so hard to make his father like her more.

Chen Houmin and his sister knows their father never like Ma Wenchi. Their father just love one woman in his life and that is Lu Yini. That's why their mother hate Lu Yini so much. Chen Houmin and his sisters never hate Lu Yini because they knows that woman is better than their mother at everything either looks, temperament, background and cultivation. They also never hate their half-sibling.

After let the elder register the three of them, they go to the seat area for the contestant. While sitting there, Chen Houmin and his sister looking around looking for someone. They looking for their half-sister; Chen Housin. They loves her. Even if she just their half-sister, they always treat her as their youngest sister.

"Look, the patriarch and the elders coming!"

Chen Houmin look at the main seat where his father and clan elders arrives and took a seat there. He can see his mother follow his father and sit at his left side. Chen Houmin frown when he can't see his father first wife. Usually Lu Yini also come with patriarch group but today she's not there.

"Brother, where's mother Lu Yini?"

Chen Houlin whispering to him, make Chen Houyan also look to the main seat. The two girls look at him in worried tone. The two girls also like their first mother.

"I don't know."

"Is she still worried about her missing son?"

Talking about the first mother's son, the three of them wear a bitter smile. Chen Danshou's in their mind is a weak boy. He's got a Wasted Meridian body, make him the joke of the Chen clan. Many scared of his mother but still a lot bully him. Even though the boy is a cheerful one but still many hate him because his background so good while his talent is so poor. The boy is one of the reason why their mother has a big ambition. Their mother wants Chen Houmin to be the next patriarch and Chen Danshou's poor talent fuel the wish.

"Then, is she not gonna attend this time?"

Chen Houmin hearing Chen Houyan question just shrug his shoulder.

"Look, the patriarch first wife coming!"

Hearing the voice, Chen Houmin and his sister look and found the first wife walking to the registration line with two people. Chen Houmin can recognise one of the people as their half-sister but he can't recognize the other people.

"Who is that male that comes with first mother?" mumbles Chen Houyan. She can't recognise him.

"Patriarch, who is the male beside the first madam?" one of the elder; Chen Luan looks confused.

"I don't know."

Looking at the male beside Lu Yini, Chen Houlun looks upset. From the male body's look, Chen Houlun know the male is quite good. Chen Houlun can feel jealousy is brimming inside his body. He never likes any male near his wife and now his wife bring one with her. He also see how his wife talking and smiling with that male. Chen Houlun feels like he wants to kill someone but his face never show it just his eyes narrow coldly. He needs to confront his wife later.

Lu Yini can feels someone watching her intensely from the main seat. She can guess who is it but she just ignore it. It's his problem if he's mad, she won't care about the selfish man right now. She just want to take care of her son first.

"Son, you should register with your sister."

"Yes, mother."

Chen Danshou walk with his sister to register. His sister can cut in the line because she's one of the patriarch daughter. She takes him too. The elder that take care of her registration look curious at him but because Chen Houshin want him to register faster, he can't ask. The registration done faster than he thought. After they done with the registration, Chen Houshin drag his brother to the contestant seat.

"Shin-er, your late." Chen Houmin called his half-sister dotingly. He cares about this litter sister.

"Brother Houmin.." Chen Houshin look at her half-brother and walked to his place.

"Shin-er, who is this?" Chen Houlin asking her half-sister about the male beside her.

"Ah, He's.."

"Is he your boyfriend?" Ask Chen Houyan cutting Chen Houshin's words.

The naughty girl checking the male up and down. Checking the male wearing silver mask, Chen Houyan can feel the man is strong like his brother. The male also got a good body, long legs and slender. The male make her feels curious.

Hearing her half-sister called her brother as her boyfriend, Chen Houshin ∑('o'). How can that happen?!

"Sister Houyan, what are you saying?"

"Oh, is he not?"

"Of course not. This is my brother."

Hearing that her three half-sibling feels surprised ∑(⁰o⁰). They start to checking up at Chen Danshou. They can't believe the young man in front of them is the small, weak Chen Danshou the wasted. The young man's body looks as good like Chen Houmin, but not as robust as him. Even though he's wearing mask, his lips and jaw looks good and refined.

"Are you sure about that?"

Chen Houyan can't believe the young male beside her half-sister is Chen Danshou. That boy's never looks this good. He was a meek boy, but the male in front of them looks confident and elegant. Because of his weak and acceptance personality, Chen Houyan used to make trouble with him. She used to make this man got many punishment just so she can tried to temper his meek attitude. Of course others think she's just like to bully the weak boy.

"Of course."

"So, your back."

Chen Houmin looks at the young man in the eyes. The young man's eyes is more steady now. Looks like something happen to him. Thinking about the things happen to his half-brother, Chen Houmin feels bad premonition. He's feel his mother involved in it.

Chen Danshou just nod at his half-brother. He never involved deeply with his siblings. They had few interaction with him. Because he can't cultivate before, Danshou never train together with them, not like his sister. Every young member of Chen clan main member, if they had talent for cultivation, they need to study at the cultivation hall in the early age of 6 years old. Because he can't do it, Danshou just read at the Chen clan library and he continue doing that. So, Danshou just watching them interact with his sister now and sit calmly at the side.

"Who is the male you bring before with you?"

Chen Houlun whispering to his first wife when Lu Yini sat in his right side. The woman just lift her eyebrow and look aside, ignoring him. Seeing his question not answered, Chen Houlun in rage. Watching his ugly face, Ma Wenchi just sneer at the side. The woman looks happy that Lu Yini make their husband angry. She always like it if the couple fights, so she can benefit from it.

"Yin-er."

Chen Houlun touch his wife's hand, but his wife slap his hand back, make him more angry. Watching his wife side face, he stops his advance. He knows Lu Yini will continue to ignore him. So, he just need to find out about the male himself. Thinking that he can found out himself, Chen Houlun takes a deep breath. He needs to open the competition now, so he's stand from his seat and use his qi to amplified his voice.

"For all member of Chen clan, welcome to the clan meet. I'm happy to knows that many young member will participate in it. I hoped there's many new talent this time. Like the clan meets before this, anyone get in the top 20 will be fostered by the main clan more than others, so i want you all will be do your best. Alright, let's the competition begins."

The spectators seat.

"Like usual, your grandson still do a good speech." Chen Molun whispering to his friend sitting next to him.

"Yeah, he's still the same."

"So, who's you want to see? Chen Houmin?"

"Nope."

"Then?"

"Just watch, you'll be surprised later."

"Hey, you old fella, why's you never change? Always like to make others on hold."

"It won't be nice to burst the bubble easily. Kekeke."

"Bad fella. I bet no one in the clan knows that their Grand-elders likes to prank others and enjoy it."

"Oh, shut up and watch, alright! If you still like to grumbles, i'll send you to the ancestors backyard hall."

Hearing the threat, Chen Molun zip his mouth. He can't help shiver remembering the ancestors backyard hall. That place is a torturous training hall made by the old fella next to him. To all ancestors at ancestors courtyard is their nightmare and the place that all of them feared. The threat going to that place is the one to droves all of them to continue training hard in their cultivation. If they became lazy to train, this old fella will send them there.
