20. ASSASINS AS QI-DEVOURING VICTIMS.
After fixing his plan, Sha-ei calls a few of his subordinate. He calls three Core-level 8 men to follow Sha-Lu. Seeing four people going to the Chen clan residence to assassinate her new master, Sese crumpling her handkerchief. She needs to believe in her new master power to pass through this hurdle.
Sha-Lu walking behind the three copper members. He can't believe that he becomes that disgusting man's lackey tonight. He just wants to gloat at the man and become a critic for the man. He never like Sha-ei. His leader always told him that Sha-ei is the weakest among the elder circle members, so his leader always likes to mock the man and contradict with him in every meeting. After all, all the elder minimum cultivation supposed to be higher than Sha-ei.
Sha-ei can be a vice-leader for the shadow guild branch just because he can satisfy the ego of the leader and other vice-leaders at the main branch. That man also a ruthless person and very good at scheming for others that oppose him too harshly. His leader can be free from the man schemes just because his leader is much stronger than Sha-ei, so that man didn't dare to touch him.
"Senior, this is the Chen clan main residence. The target stays inside this residence. The Chen clan got a few Heaven-level cultivators."

Using their movement skill, Sha-Lu and the other men start to searching Chen Danshou courtyard based on the spy reports.

"Master, there are a few rats comes inside. I think they come from the Shadow Guild. They using shadow related skill and they are quite good at it." Gelu notified his young master about the people from the shadow guild that infiltrate inside the Chen clan residence.
"I see. How high their cultivation?"
"The highest just Earth-level 2, the other three just Core-level 8."
"Oh, How can I not notice their arrival?"
"I think is because of the shadow skill. This skill makes people using it can sneak past inside the residence without Heaven-level cultivator detected it. This skill is quite good but is of low quality. I guess I'll find a better one for you to learn it later, Master."

Smiling, Chen Danshou trying to explain his reason to Gelu; "Just killing these assassins is too simple, better using them better. After all even if a little, meat still meat."

"Okay, let's go into his room. I bet he's sleeping. I'm gonna use the sleeping poison on him so we can kill him easily." Shen-Lu takes a bottle inside his space-ring. After taking it, he starts moving his foot inside Chen Danshou courtyard followed by the other men.
"I don't think you all need to visit me inside my room. I don't want my room to be dirtied by that poison. I hate it if my room gets stink of poison like that."
A melodious deep voice can be heard in the garden in front of Chen Danshou room. Hearing the voice, all the assassins look at the source, they see a young man wearing purple light-robe standing near the room door. The man's lip is stiff. He doesn't like poison and being assassinated. The people in front of him want to do both, this makes him angry.
"Because you all already come, I guess you all better stay here."
Waving his hand, Danshou making barrier covering all his courtyard. He can't have these men screams be heard by others later.
"Yo-you're an array master?" Sha-Lu looks shocked. Fear can be seen in his eyes. How can this young man be an array master? He can make an array barrier just by waving his hand, that means he's an earth-level cultivator. He just hopes this young man's level, not above him.
Taking his other poison, Sha-Lu hopes he can poison the man. But his hopes are squash because the young man just waving his hand to scatter his poison and stand like nothing happen.
"I hate poison been thrown at me. So, I think I should deal with you first."
Moving his body, Danshou stands in front of Sha-Lu in a blink. Thrusting his hand through the man's chest, Danshou activated his Qi-devouring skill. The man can feel his Qi being suck by Danshou.
"H-How can you.."

The other assassins looking at the strongest man inside their group being killed just like that becomes stiff like statues. Finish sucking the strongest, Danshou sucks the others just as easily like before. After finished sucking these assassins qi, Danshou took their space ring and burned the empty body with his fire. Waving his hand, he scattered their ashes to the plant in the garden and lift the barrier. Nodding, satisfied, Danshou getting inside his room and sleep. He's not interested to think more about this assassins group.
Inside the Shadow Guild main branch
"No, Sha-Lu!!"
A middle-aged man screams inside the cultivation chamber. This man is Sha-Lu uncle. This man cultivates inside the special cultivation chamber in the main branch because he just got promoted to be one of the inner elders at the main branch. He feels joyful getting the promotion. He thought to call back his nephew after he finished close cultivation but now, looking at his nephew soul jade broken inside his large palm, Sha-Ku looks very sad. He needs to found out what happened to his nephew and makes his nephew being killed.
