I like you

It has been almost two months since Cassie and Hardin came to know about each other. Cassie made excuses with her husband to meet Hardin during the weekends. She would stay at his home and teach him him how to paint. She cooked food for him during Saturdays while he would just look at her. Cassie started to like Hardin's presence, she would text him as soon as she woke up and would end the text late in the night. She would share every single detail of her day with him than she shares with her husband.

"Where are you going today?" Mike asked her.

"Um...to the library," she replied.

"Then why did you dress up as if you are going on a date," Mike laughed.

"I just wanted to dress up." Cassie defended herself and smiled at her husband.

"I will be going out to meet my friends and would return late or may be tomorrow," she heard her husband speak to her.

"Have fun then," Cassie knew about the party. It was his best friend's wedding and the groom invited her husband to the bachelorate's party.

"You too," he said and kissed on her lips. For some reason, she felt weird. Why did she not feel anything when her husband kissed her. Actually, she never felt anything when her husband kissed her. She loved him and so did he even though their marriage was arranged. But there was no spark in their marriage life.

Mike was always busy with his work and seldom spent time with her. During weekends, he would enjoy with his friends instead of her at times she felt as if she had no place in his life.

"What are you doing?" Cassie chuckled. She had a brush in her hand, they were painting together.

"You look beautiful," he said, almost breathless.

"Thankyou," Cassie chuckled.

While Cassie's attention was on the canvas, Hardin had his eyes on her. A few strands of her hair covered her face and without a second thought, he tucked her hair behind her war making her look at him.

"You look very beautiful, Cassandra," Hardin repeated.

"Um...thankyou?.... What is wrong with you today Hardin? You never gave me any compliment before," Cassie chuckled.

"I like you, Cassandra," he decided to speak about his feelings for her.

"Hardin?" Cassie looked at him quizically. She didn't know in what way he meant it but by the way he looked at her she felt he was serious.

"I liked you the moment I saw you. I wanted to know you and hold your hand, I want you Cassandra and I never wanted something in my life as much as I want you," Cassandra was left speechless. There were few guys who proposed her when she was young but this was completely different. Never did she feel her heart race with someone's confession and not even her husband had spoke to her in this way.

"I'm married Hardin," she too a deep breathe. This is wrong, she should leave. This was not supposed to happen. She must've given him false hopes.

"I don't care, Cassandra. I want you and I domt care if you're married," he came closer to her and held her hands.

"I'm sorry, Hardin. I cannot...."

Hardin didn't wait for her to speak and kissed her. Cassie protested but as he continued to kiss her slowly, her hands that were trying to push him away, now tangled around his neck. The kiss was slow and torturous, she never felt this way before as she did now. After kissined her, Hardin trailed down to her neck and sucked her soft skin.
