Departures

"Now, all of you will be teleported back to your personal quarters in a couple of minutes, so are there any questions? Final chance." The same person that had a small outburst when they learned that they all wouldn't be going to the same place raised their hand. "Is there any way to go to a different Death's Kingdom?"

"Nope! You have all been chosen to go to a certain one for certain reasons. Whether it be your skills, class, experience, etc. Though I will say, some of you have gotten a bit of a... helping hand from your investors. You'll know when you're on your way to wherever you are going." As she finishes the sentence a green light begins to appear around her. "Well, that's all the time you have. I wish you luck on your journey!" And with that, she's gone, and then the same green light appears around everyone else in the room and within seconds Jack was in his room, right in front of his bed.

Looking at his wristband for the time, it was half-past nine, giving him thirty minutes to get ready. He didn't have much to do, so he decided that he should make sure he looks acceptable, which he already basically did he just needed to brush his hair a bit, and brushed his teeth the third time today, he was very self-conscious about his looks when in front of a group of people no matter the size. All around making sure he was presentable, in his definition took twelve minutes, not knowing what else to do he sits on his bed and takes a look at his wristband. Navigating first to the Investors tab.

"Hmmm what would cost 3,000 kills?" Jack tried to think back on the briefing remembering one line from Dr. Smith, 'Though I will say, some of you have gotten a bit of a... helping hand from your investors. You'll know when you're on your way to wherever you are going.' So he shrugged it off, figuring that it would reveal itself soon. Instead, he switched to the 'Skills' tab, looking at various skills that would buff various things like speed, vision range, a better physique which he assumed would help for guns with much higher recoil. There were various other skills a couple being quite interesting but most being what Jack had expected.

Right before he was going to turn his wristband off, it made a little ding signifying there was a notification or message for him so instead he went back to the main screen.

System:

Hello Jack Kan, you have one minute before being teleported to Koria, ship platform to say your goodbyes, and board your ship to Death's Kingdom 4A!

Jack stands up, taking one last look around his surroundings before a green circle surrounded him, taking only a second to teleport him into a white room containing every person who was in the briefing room, "Attention all players, you have five minutes to say goodbye to anyone you would like to before boarding your respective ship." Jack quickly finds Hans the one person he was actually able to comfortably talk to. He's even gotten a bit better at hiding his lies because of him. He quickly walks over to him, and Hans seemed to have noticed right before he got to him.

"Hey Jack, what'd you get?" Jack holds up five fingers, "Five A." Hans shakes his head. "Lie, still gotta believe it's the truth, my guess is you got 4A, which I assume is supposed to be for stronger people, but who knows. I got 3T." Jack's shrugs. "I honestly think there's no method to this madness but who knows. So what are your plans when you get on DK?"

Hans shrugs, "Learn the place and try not to die really. I got two investors so that's gotta be good right?" Jack nods in agreement. "I have uhhh eleven." Hans' eyes widen. "How do you have so many!?" He tried to keep his voice down as to not draw suspicion but it did get a bit louder, but all around was pretty quiet. Jack shrugs in response, "I don't know I guess people think there's something special about me, but we sho-"

"Players this is your one-minute warning, you have one minute before you are to head off to departure." Jack looks around at the twelve other people in the room, he could see that one of them was crying, but he couldn't care less, to him it was one more person who wasn't ready for what they asked for. "Well Hans, I don't want to hear that you died anytime soon, I expect to see you at some point." Hans nods, "Same to you." A couple of seconds later their wristbands dinged.

System:

Please head to hall A4.

A bit confused he lifted his head to look around, seeing twelve different halls, it seemed to respectively be for one person in the room. Hans speaks up as he turns around, "See you when I see you." he then walks away with a wave to Jack, entering a hall labeled 3T which soon closed behind him. Jack walks over to his, the walls sliding shut behind him as well, and after a second opens up to the outside.
