Ignore Her

Meanwhile, in the Brown villa,

Gilbert Brown paced the living room anxiously as his wife Angel sat on the sofa while his mother Edith Brown sat opposite to her.

Angel, on seeing the tense look on her husband's and mother-in-law's faces, sat there quietly as she racked her brain to come up with contingency plans in case her husband's newly found daughter decided to come back to take her claim in the inheritance.

'Yeah...as if I would let that happen...I had to marry him officially just so that I could have his money after he died... there's no way in hell am I gonna get pregnant too....there is no way that it is worthwhile to ruin my figure...'

She thought to herself as she looked at her husband, who was old enough to be her father.

'I worked so hard to seduce him.'

Looking back at the past three years, she reminisced that she did not work that hard...if she was being truthful to herself and others.

All she had to do was memorise his schedule and run into him by 'coincidence' and make him notice her and remember her.

The last past was super easy, thanks to her beautiful figure and looks.

Gilbert was also busy, busy figuring out why his daughter who had gone missing five years ago suddenly came back.

Frustrated, he smashed the vase that was on the table near him as he roared.

''Why the hell is she back! Can't she just go back to where she was?

And what the hell was she thinking by making such a huge scene in front of everyone at the banquet! Has she any idea about whom all she has offended?''

He asked to no one in particular before again starting his frustrated walk across the room.

''She has no regard for her family! I would have suspected her to not be my daughter right now if mother hadn't done the blood test with the family doctor she trusts so much.''

He yelled once again.

"What should we do now?"

Angel asked in a soft and mellow voice as she looked at her husband and mother-in-law, trying to sound out their intentions regarding Ivy before she put her plans into action.

''Right...right we have to do something regarding her...''

Gilbert said, before pausing to look at his mother and ask her,

''What should we do now maa?''

Seeing this, Angel bent her head down in order to hide it from their view, as a sarcastic smile made its way onto her face as she once again noticed what a weak man Gilbert Brown was.

Each and every decision he made was with his mother's approval.

The only decision he made without her support was the decision to marry her, for she was the one who had enticed him and pushed him a little to marry her.

"Let us wait...''

Edith said after taking a long time to think over things and run different scenarios through her mind.

"Wait for what?''

Gilbert asked,

''Let us wait and see what step the Wood's take and then we can clear up our act and take a definite side, either with Ivy or against her, but we should always be on the side of the Wood's.

Years ago, due to her, we lost our standing and good grace with them and suffered a bit in terms of business but after they made sure that we were not helping her in any way, did they not take down the ban they had previously placed on us? So now, this time to we shall wait and see what stance the Wood's will take.''

She said with finality as she stood up from her seat and made her way to her bedroom.
