Inside a dimly lit room, 7-individuals wearing dark grey uniforms coated with revolutionary body armour, white-framed glasses, and a black belt around their waist with a gun holster, flash-bangs, smoke-screen, and grenades strapped to it, armour puncturing knives and a customized M.A.G prototype.
In front of them stood a young man in his early twenties, he wore a standard military uniform with the letter 'M' printed behind his back, his held a vitals monitor within his hands, a golden rimmed glass over his nose-bridge and finally a purple-pendant hanging from his neck. Though the uniform he wore was a standard one, none of the 7-individuals dared relax in his presence.
Henrik had spent a few months training the veteran-soldiers and quickly brought them up to a desirably level, he taught them about using their "Supernatural Powers" or rather magic and handed them custom made M.A.Gs.
After a few real-life stimulations, they were ready to be dispatched to the different units within the military. This was going to be the last mission he and his squad would do before the squad will be abandoned and the 7-soldiers would be supported by the nine-institutes.
On the table beside them, lay 7-suitcases and a file with "Classified" written on the front page. Henrik had taken over the duty to test out the capabilities of the 7-individuals who survived the body-modification procedure.
"Collect your equipment and get ready for debriefing! This mission will be the last mission we do together before all of you will be sent to different units within the military that is if made it out alive!"
Hearing the indifferent tone of the youngster, the lot of them stood upright and moved forward with discipline; even though Henrik looked young he still was the supreme commander of the whole naval forces of Japan, one of the four leaders which controlled the country.
Training with him for a few months had already dispelled any and all kinds of doubt they could have had before engaging with Henrik but after being the foremost recipient of his 'power', they knew better than to belittle the young man in golden glasses standing in front of them.
Kudou Retsu was a young man with no background; he joined the Japanese military at the age of 21 and skyrocketed through the ranks using his sly tactics and strength. Around 1999, he discovered that he had a special power, affinity and immunity towards illusions.
Strange incidences of "Supernatural powers" had been happening all over the world. The government couldn't keep the information from leaking and soon everyone in the world became aware of people awakening strange powers.
The military was intrigued and he was privately invited to participate in the Body-modification procedure formed under National Defense Force supervision. It could increase his new found 'power; and help him strengthen his body to inhumane levels, to the pinnacle of human potential.
The procedure was designed by Freya Mikaelson but had a high death rate. A few 'awakened' were invited to participate and undergo the gruesome process to obtain power.
Thus he volunteered for the special body-modification procedure and was able to stay alive through sheer willpower. Many others like him died during the procedure, leaving only 7-individuals alive, a testament to the dangers involving the body-modification procedure.
After the procedure was finished he along with others those who survived were given a few months to rest and allow their bodies to recover.
Retsu visited in family and spent some time with them while he recovered from the follow-up effects of the procedure. He along with the other six soldiers was to be summoned back after their bodies had recovered.
As the deadline neared, all of them were summoned back to the Secret facility; there they were guided inside a large room where a middle-aged man wearing a grey jacket and black leather boots awaited them.
"I welcome you all to project Hydra; the seven of you are the only survivors of the Body-modification procedure and are extremely vital to the Japanese military and the people of the country."
"Each and every one of you is a highly-skilled veteran who has served the country for quite some time or is filled with potential but the standards for Project Hydra require more! Thus, specifically, to train you all, the Supreme Commander of the naval forces, Henrik Mikaelson himself would head the group."
They were informed that Henrik Mikaelson of the Mikaelson family would be the leader of their squad and would also be responsible for training them.
This news certainly surprised them as the Mikaelson family was a mysterious bunch, though they were heavily respected within the country due to their contribution to the current state of their country.
The Mikaelson clan along with the other Great clans practically responsible for Japan's growth and power.
But it wasn't every day you would get to see a Mikaelson as they preferred to stay away from the people, nothing was known about the clan, no information about the true number of Mikaelson family members or their powers was known other than the fact; Gerard family was a branch family of the Mikaelson clan.
Though they didn't know what to expect they were excited nevertheless. Henrik trained the seven magicians for a few months and honed their skills to the best of his abilities; he even created M.A.G, specially designed for them.
Magic Augmented Gun, a prototype magic channelling weapon made from the Meteoroid Khan had gifted Henrik with, Freya and Henrik had figured out the properties of the mysterious metal after years of research.
The Meteoroid was made from the dead core of a star; it could boost the "So-called Supernatural powers" or rather magic; by x2 and was durably enough to easily contain the vast power stored within the Kyber crystals, the force didn't affect its weight rather the material remembered the energy signals of the user so to attract itself to them.
Henrik made 7-Lightsabers, 7-proto M.A.G and 6-finalized M.A.G using the meteoroid materials, unlike modern technology the M.A.G would never get outdated, their boost and durability was something which couldn't be compared with any other technology, also their high compatibility with all kinds of magic.
The National Defense Force created a short term project for research purposes.
Project Hydra was a codename for the observation experiment which was designed by Koga clan head, to collect vital information and feedback from the 7-soldiers. Institutes were being established for the research of studying [Element Magicians] after which they could successfully take a step closer to understanding this new yet complex 'Magic'.
The 7-Individuals who awakened Magic and underwent Body-modifications were natural-born [Element Magicians] except Kudou Retsu, the first of their kind and Henrik was interested in experiments and studying their DNA structure, etc; but after his world-breaking research on a new system of magic, inspired by the one his sister created; he abandoned the idea of [Artificial Element Magicians].
The [Number Family System] was also established by the government; is the system where when a family is recognized to have substantial magical abilities, it gains a number in its name. This system replaced the 'Elements' families that came before. The respective families or members of members thereof are called Numbers.
[Elements] is the name given to the Magicians who became the first practitioners of Magic in Japan, before the establishment of the [Numbers], though the latter was still in an experimental stage. They contain the Element in their name.
The Elements have innately inherited gifts separate from the magic they had or were given. Since the beginning of research on magic, fear and superstition against magic was rampant. Due in part because of this, those who were developed, the Elements were labelled as 'Sorcerers' and 'Witches'.
Henrik knew that overwhelming power brought distrust; this was also one of the reasons why the Mikaelson family didn't interact much with others.
Faced with such distrust they took it upon themselves, taking measures to show that they would not be a threat, they had the researchers incorporate into their genes; compliance and absolute obedience towards their leaders, Henrik was impressed by their dedication towards the country and the lengths they were willing to go to prove their loyalty.
Minamoto clan head supervised the procedure to induce obedience and loyalty within their genes.
He made the geneticists take whatever measures that were needed to ensure this; hence the 'descendants of the Elements' were expected to have a high ratio of expressing a certain trait, which is 'dependency'.
The whole world was gradually introduced to the Magic as few people became able to wield it and do wonders, experiments being conducted on these people became more and more frequent, fearing that their extreme measures may lead to damage; the National Defense Force introduced certain policies regarding the treatment of magician within the military and the country.
Before the passing of the new guidelines, the Army General Headquarters had established a secret research institute in 2002 (for Magic Development). It was planned that in the 2010s and 2020s the research institutes would operate, and will be structured off the secret institute to develop the Elements but the plan was deserted afterwards.
Henrik didn't object as the [Council of four] had already collected all the data they could possibly attain at the moment. The Body-modification procedure was banned since it no longer had any use, the death rate of the procedure was just too high and Japanese were underpopulated while Indians didn't have an affinity towards the 'Magic' since they didn't lose their magic as others did.
Before the organization and classification of the Four Systems and Eight Types as proposed by Henrik, a classification based on the traditional attributes of Earth (地), Water (水), Fire (火), Wind (風), Light (光), and Thunder (雷) was currently being put in effect. The Elements were developed in accordance with the current concept.
After Henrik proposal and classification of the Four Systems and Eight Types, the development of these Magicians following the traditional attributes became regarded as inefficient, and the development of the Elements ceased. The 7-soldiers were the first by-products of science and magic, though regarded as inefficient it was only true for the second generation of [Element].
The 7-soldiers were to be tested in a real and dangerous mission and would then be transferred to different institutions.
For those who hold positions of great power, the bloodline of the Elements is valuable.
To utilize these kinds of magic the Elements (Fire, Water, Wind, Thunder, Light, Earth) are used which are also called the Elements of Nature.
Psychologists and Geneticists haven't been able to answer why and how these characteristics are inheritable. At first, it was seen that characteristics of one's personality couldn't be inherited, though when looking back through one's family tree, undeniable similarities would be seen that couldn't be explained to be from something like 'environmental factors'.
It was easily seen that they would have a specific person, usually of the opposite sex, that they would be greatly attached to and rely on. The descendants of the Elements themselves believed that their destinies were written in their genes.
Although using such a thing as an excuse for accepting their reliance on others; the 'dependency' that they feel isn't publicly perceived as emotional weakness.
Scholars have claimed that there is a more appropriate word for 'dependency', meaning loyalty. Since it uses traditional element it falls under a new category of magic which is called as traditional magic which in fact is different from modern magic which Henrik proposed.
The special innate ability and ancient magic possessed by the Mikaelsons, [Force] and [Original Magic] (Witchcraft) were classified as "???" since nothing other than their name were known to the world.
Also, the fact that even though both of these powers were completely different from Magic; Indians also utilized a similar kind of Over-powered Ancestral-magic, thus Mikaelson family's magic was added to the same category; known as [Irregular Magic].
Retsu Kudou and the other six soldiers, under Henrik's supervision, were going to do their first and last mission under Henrik's command, each of them had already got used to their magic and abilities not to mention the fact that each and every one of them was a veteran.
Each and every one of them stepped forward and collected their equipment before going through the mission details specified in the file.
"Tying to historical reasons, Australia has minimal military technology and relies on the United Kingdom due to its being a technologically developed country like the USA. "
"The problems created due to the depletion of Ozone were getting worse thus the European federation of Magic developed [Ozone Circle Magic]. "

The primary target of the terrorists is to hijack the delivery and then sell the materials in the black market, due to the new addition of magicians they needed money to buy the required facilities to train their own magicians."
"The European federation had requested Japan to provided assistance and ensures the safety of the materials as the depletion of the ozone layer is a problem concerning the safety of the planet."
"Our mission is to ensure that the goods are safely delivered to the pre-decided coordinates which are mentioned in the file. Kill the terrorists and make it out alive are the two goals for this mission."
"Though all of you are highly trained and capable, along with the fact that you all are magicians, a bullet will still kill you since the magic you use isn't exactly developed so be careful, be quiet, be sharp and most importantly; be quick."
"Pack up your stuff; we will be leaving in a few hours."
