Monsters I Met

The crowd in my head gone wild, upset

Eye to eye with Medusa's head

Beauty was granted, curses unwanted

Frozen in pasts I regret

-

Once upon a time, an axe man passed by

Friendlier than ever, thought no harm nor sly

An elevated pedestal, an honor to be crowned

Raises his axe high, I was buried under mound

-

A dream cottage made from sweet treats

Fed to bloat, fed to get filled, life was neat

To exchange and to lose all privileges

Hot oven to hell with heartwarming fake pledges

-

Is one making sense to switch tails for a pair?

To find an ever after, or to face true despair?

Arrogance to ignore and to not adhere

A hubris that forgot how reality veers!
