The old lady and the little child kept staring at eachother, as if both are gauging each other, oblivous to the young lady.
While the lady was trying to figure out what to say, the child is trying to figure out this hidden boss.. while the old lady..
'That's weird.. I can't sense him' Jade mused, believing her old age is finally catching upto her, puts it at the back of her mind, and glaces towards Raye.
''Raye?''
''Hm?, ah.. yes, uh.'' Raye grumbles slightly before catching the sight of a basket nearby, walking over to it and putting the white haired child in it.
''So.. uh, someone left this child last night'' she says as she lifts the basket into the kitchen table, turning it so the child can see her and Jade.
''.. right?'' Jade looks at Raye confused, as she is being too fidgety about it
''Do people.. often almost crash into people when leaving their children here?'' Raye says, looking slightly at Jade.
Jade looks at her with a confused expression that turns neutral as she turns back to her chopping board, lifting and pouring the chopped vegetables into the simmering pot.
''So.. you're saying that someone left this child last night, nearly crashing into you while at it?'' Jade said, while the white haired child was observing and trying to register what she just put into the pot.
''Yeah.. They could have hurt the child.. stupid'' Raye grumply said as the child noticed she looked at him at the corner of his eye after she said it. 'Well I felt alot of pain before I saw you.. so I think that's out of the window..' the child mused as he heard a quiet sigh from Jade
''Well, either way, the mother or father has chosen to our orphanage, so he is now our responsiblity now'' Jade said as the child noticed she glacing past her shoulder at the corner of his eye, 'but this Raye has to stop looking at me, do I have something on my baby face?' child thought while glaring at the glaring Raye.
''The child is quite a observing one, isn't he?'' Jade said with a smiles before looking back to the pot before stirring it gently.
''Thought of a name yet?'' Jade exclaims
''E-Eh?, Wait, Am I naming him?'' Raye lets out as she breaks eye contact with the child and looks at the back of Jade, 'Haha, I win!' child amusingly thought.
''Well of course!, You're the one who picked him up, it's your choice, Dear.'' says as she looks over her shoulder and looks gently at Raye
''.. Do I have to?''
''Yes, Dear'' Jade laughs slightly before she started chopping something more for the pot, 'Do I see a cactus?' the child thought in confusion.
Raye, with a slight frowning face, looks back at the child in the basket. Who is currently looking towards Jade.
'Cactus stew, Is that a cactus stew?' child ponders in confusion before his thoughts gets interrupted as the sound of stomping starts coming from the second floor and the shortly after, the stairs.
''Children are up..'' Raye sighs
''Yup.'' Jade amusingly said
'Oh.. oh no..' the white haired child thought in horror.

'GET THIS PINK GOBLIN AWAY FROM ME!' white haired yelled horrifyingly within his mind
''Hai hwis eyes so bwlue!'' a little pink haired girl exclaimed as she kept poking my puffy cheek, while two heads pokes past her shoulder.
I heard a sigh coming past these three goblins as Rayes voice is heard ''''Pearl, Scarlet, Amber. Please, Back to your tables, I think the child is about to cry'' Raye exclaimed 'Cry?, I'm not crying, And if you think about yesterday, it never happened!' child thought unamused as he glared at Raye who he can finally see.
''Bwut..'' pink girl exclaimed 'No buts!, An adult is telling you to stop harassing my smooth cheek, You.. goblin' white haired thought unamusingly and hoping that Raye saves him.
''No buts, Jade specially boiled this cactus stew as a celebration for Crims birthday, You girls dont want to make Crim sad, don't you?'' Raye said while looking at the three goblins, before they walked away from my container.
'Sweet sweet freedom' the child mused, before realising Raye sat on the chair infront of my container while glancing towards the direction where alot of noise is coming from, wish I could see, stupid container in the way.
''Unlike me, he succeeded huh..'' a light sigh escapes Raye, while the child looks at her with confused thoughts.
'Why.. Are you sad?, you okay?' the child pondered, before noticing Raye scooping up some of this weird.. Cactus stew..
''Come on little one, open wide'' Raye said as she kept doing open wide motion with her mouth.
'Nevermind, keep being sad. You deserve it if you think you can feed me with a cactus stew, lady' child thought while giving Raye a dead stare.
''Its not that bad, you know'' she mused, while giving me a pout 'Don't act cute towards me, even the smell makes my stomach revolt.'
'However..' child starting to looking at the weird green stew and the Raye 'I am.. hungry.. but, don't you have something else?, that is not cactus stew..'
Raye opened her mouth slightly, indicating he should do the same 'Well.. shit, take one of the team I guess' the child thought, looking at her as he opened his mouth.
And she poured the stew in..

'..Why is it slimey, god, why in hell is it slimey' child couldn't stop frowing at the taste 'It's like eating a toad slime again, god the nightmares I had.. Atleast this one isnt burning through my stomach'
As the child was in deep thoughts he noticed Raye was smiling at him, and then slowly started to laugh
'What's so funny!?' child thought as he observed the teared-eyed laughing Raye.
''I-Its not that bad..'' Raye said as she scooped some more stew and put the spoon infront of me.
'Yeah, Hell no lady.' the child exclaimed in his mind, refusing to open his mouth to this cackling demon.

One breakfast celebration later, and some of the children helping putting the dishes away.
''Alright children'' old lady Jade exclaimed with a smile
''Go and do some of your homework before you are free to play outside, alright?''
''''''Okaaay'''''' Several of the children quipped before heading up the stairs
''What are you plans for today, Raye?'' Jade asked as she looked at Raye who is currently washing some dishes.
''I.. I don't know, I was thinking about helping the girls with their homework'' Raye said while pondering what name to give the white haired child.
Jade was mere smiling gentle before her eyes landed on the white haired child who is looking grumply at the ceiling.
''It would seem the he didn't like my stew'' Jade mused before laughing slightly, as she saw the child now glaring at her.
''Nn.. I got some more into him, but it seemed like he had been through a fight afterwards, so I couldn't keep feeding him after that''' Raye said with a light smile as she cleaned her hands before turning around facing Jade.
''Can you take care of him while I help the girls?'' Raye asked while noticing the white haired child glaring at Jade.
''Hohoho, Of course, just leave him to me. But do remember thinking of a name for him, okay dear?'' Jade said while looking gently at Raye
''Nn'' Raye let out before walking past Jade while looking at the child, deep in thought before turning her head away
Silent overcame the kitchen, sometimes you hear the laughter of children or sound of stomping from the second floor.
Old lady kept staring out from the window, while the child kept staring at the old lady.
This scene kept going for a few minutes before the old ladys hand landed on the basket, and she slowly started rocking the basket gently.
'What is she thinking so deep about' the child mused while observing Jade, whos gaze seem to be glazed over.
The thinking child eventually closed his eyes and enjoying the basket rocking.
This continued for a few minutes before the child open his eyes once more, noticing the old lady now had her head tilted, and gaze no longer glazed over.
'What did she notice' child wondered, before his mind rapidly started cooling down, focusing on the sounds nearby. Aside from the noises of feet touching the floor, children talking or something being written on, there was nothing weird.
The white haired child closed his eyes before taking a light intake of air before opening his eyes once more, seeing the old lady still observing something.
'Whatever..' child mused, before trying to remember the feeling how the semi-transparent window came to be.
'There.. was a eye itch..' the child mumbled in his mind.
While the child was in deep ponder, the old lady Jade was in deep thought herself.
'There is more Grimm activity..?' Jade pondered the words of the guards that were talking abit too loudly for her taste as they walked past her orphanage.
'The huntsman and huntresses has been dragging abit too thin lately.. I hope Shade Academy can assist Coquina' Jade mused before looking at the white haired child.
The child was currently staring at the ceiling once more, clearly in deep thought with a frown. Jade couldn't help but to smile at this little child as she kept rocking his basket.
Few seconds late, a knocking could be heard from the frontdoor.
Jade closes her eyes for a few seconds before a light sigh escapes her as she stands up, slowly approaching the door.
The White haired childs attention was grabbed a few seconds from the knocking, before he returned to his pondering, while staring at the ceiling.
Opening the door, there was a lightly armored man with a weapon on his side, black haired and a scar on his cheek. An cat tail could be seen behind him moving about.
'an Huntsman?' Jade mused before giving him her signature smile
''What can I do for you, Mister?''
''Ah.. uhm, Is.. is there someone named Crim, here?'' the man said, with a somewhat fidgiting movement.
Jade, hearing the name Crim, slowly narrowing her eyes at the man, which made the man even more nervous than before.
''Who are you?'' Jade said, while slowly observing the man infront of her more in detail, noticing somewhat similarities to little Crim, aside from the wrong haircolor.
''I'm.. I am Crims older brother, I came here after finding some old letters of my parents that my little brother.. would be here..'' the nervous man said, while Jade started smiling gently once more.
''Please, come inside, lets have a talk'' Jade mused while observing the man nervously entering the orphanage.

Later during noon, Jade stood by the kitchen window as she observed several of the children playing outside and few others were listening to a young man telling tales.
Especially Crim, who was intently listening with an sense of overflowing happiness since the man, named Cole, revealed to be his big brother.
'Seems like Cole is a nice man, that's nice' Jade thought.
''So have you thought of a name, dear?'' she asked as she watched Crim started asking Cole something while holding his sword infront of him.
''I don't know.. It's a surprisingly difficult..'' said Raye, who is next to Jade observing the children together.
''Just say the name that the child first makes you think off~'' Jade said with a gentle smile, before she slowly started to frown at she observed the interraction outside.
''Lapis'' Raye said under her breath, which made Jade turn her head towards Raye in confusion, and surprise.
''W-Why?, Raye.. you hav-'' Jade exclaimed, worried that Raye wasn't thinking clearly.
''It's fine, Jade.. He just.. I think Lapis is perfect for him.'' Raye said as she left Jades side, walking slowly.. wobbly towards the child Raye named Lapis.
''You..'' Jade takes a deep breath ''Very well, then.. once the kids are done playing, we shall welcome Lapis to our family., okay?'' Jade says as she observes the now quiet Raye.
''Nn..'' Raye lets out as she sits on the chair by Lapis, gentle touching his blanket, although her gaze is somewhere else, much to Jades worry.
Unbeknownst to either Raye or Jade, child now named Lapis wasn't sleeping, and was intently listening in on the conversation,
