RESCUE-E

A horn blew loudly, and Astrid got her cue. Either they both perish, or she save him. First, she opened the door of passenger side. Luckily it was not locked or damaged. Then, she took hold of his shoulder, shook him and put her hands below his arms. She used her might to pull him towards herself and out of the door. His body was dangling half inside and another half outside of the car door.

`You…you smell real good. Can I taste you? Just a little would do', Hawaiian shirt spoke breathing in her lavender scent and smiling, revealing his pearly white canines.

`You fucker. Your life is half in the car and half outside. Where is your brain punk?', Astrid gritted her teeth and spoke. She was boiling mad again.

'Oh..'

`You owe me one hell of a big-time', Astrid spoke and pull him just in the nick of time.

Both fell on the asphalt and the bus slammed the side of the car but continued its journey. It will have to stop eventually. He fell on the left side of her body and she cried in paid. Hawaiian shirt giggled.

`You are so soft…' he smiled and used his elbow to push himself to sit up.

`That's it!', Astrid kicked his thighs and fisted her hand to punch his face.

`Owwwww', he howled. `How can you do this to me?', he whimpered like a child.

` Number one, you nearly killed me. And number two you insulted my helping hand. Number three, you are just an asshole', Astrid stood up and brushed her backside and her jeans. I am going to be late for job hunt now, she thought.

`I am sorry….could you help me to pass my sunglasses? It's too hot…I need to make a call', he requested with a small voice.

`You are unbelievable! Shouldn't you check yourself for any injury? Sunglasses?', Astrid spoke while eyeing the Rolls Royce and the debris around it. She saw a pair of Ray-Bans but the lens was broken in half. Astrid grinned. She took the sunglasses and put them on him. He looked extremely ridiculous with the lens parted in the middle and his finger trying to put them together. She quickly took a photo of him and saved it on her phone. For once, her mood lifted.

`Hey, you. Do you have a number I can call?', Astrid spoke. When she saw the expensive-looking car, she knew almost immediately, this drunk rich vampire was not going to seek help from the police nor the ambulance, for the fear of losing his drivers license to a worst-case scenario, end up in jail.

`I think so. My phone is in my pocket', Hawaiian shirt spoke. His eyelids were getting heavy and he was on the verge of sleeping.

Astrid got worried. He seems to be having a mild concussion. She took his mobile phone, but it was locked.

`Hey stay awake', she slapped his face a few times. ` Hey…Hey…'.

`Its 242598..the passcode', he mumbled and stared at her face intently for a moment before his head rolled down and he was about to slump headfirst on the road, but she pulled his shirt collar and held it steadying him. Hawaiian started drooling.

Oh god, she mentally noted that she needs to call for help. She unlocked his phone and scroll down to contacts. There were names of girls, girls, and more girls with star ratings saved next to their names. Astrid was shocked. The life of the riches was beyond her imagination. She searched for mother, father, or any related synonym but there were none! What names did he save his parents under? She almost gave up before the phone rang.

`Hello',

`Hadwin! For god's sake where the hell are you?', a guy voiced anxiously. It sounded quite masculine with a sophisticated British accent.

`Ummm…Hi. He had an accident.', Astrid spoke meekly.

`He what?!!. Who are you and where is he? Is he injured?', the guy sounded angry and his voice raised a pitch.

`I'm by the roadside. He is safe but I think he has mild concussion…I am…', Astrid was cut short by his reply.

`I will be there shortly. And thank you', he hung up just like that.

Weird family, she thought. He must have known Hawaiian's aka Hadwin's location via GPS. Then why bother calling?

If there is one thing Astrid dislike is to mingle with people especially vampires. She did not trust anyone in general be it, humans or vampires. Since her social life is zilch, she could not decipher what vampires are in general. Her basic knowledge is they suck on people's blood, live longer, are stronger and they don't die easily. She did not bother to hang out with them, and she was not intrigued either.

She did not want to wait until help arrived. But she could not let Hadwin roll on the road, he might choke on his own tongue. Astrid looked around and found a branch by the tree shaped like a `y'. She looked inside his car for a pillow or soft toy but only found condoms. A light bulb shone in her head and she smirked.

She held his arms and dragged him to a bench at the bus stop. At least he will be under the shade. She took the stick and opened his shirt. She was surprised. He was strongly built with tout muscles and wisps of hair on his chest. His body was good. She gulped looking at him. She shook her thoughts away and tied the stick vertically to the bench using his shirt.

Next, she tore open a few condom packets and took it out. It was all gooey and slimy, but she tied one end of the `y' shaped stick and pushed his head to the gap between the stick and used another piece of a condom and connected it to the other end of the stick. Now his head is straight and secured in one place.

She took her mobile and snapped a photo. Satisfied with her handiwork she crept away and climbed a tree several feet away. She prefers being on higher ground. It's safer. Initially, she wanted to leave him alone but her better conscience got her and she waited for help to arrive.
