ESCAPE-E

Eli could hear men shouting behind from the warehouse, both ran into the forest, pushing through leaves, skipping over branches and leaping over puddles. He lost track of time and the shouts were getting softer and softer as they crept deeper into the belly of Meadow Forest.

He tried to keep up with Astrid but the soft forest ground, combined with tiredness crept up to him, he buckled, falling on the ground with a thud. He adrenaline rush was coming to an end. He just wanted to rest, to sleep.

`Eli, you got to get up', she held his shoulder, dragging him to stand. She used her wind elemental to pull him to stand and he leaned on her shoulder, growing lethargic.

`Cant. Astrid. Too tired', he rasped.

Astrid dragged Eli to a tree nearby, holding him up and tried to make a phone call, but there wasn't a reception. Damn it, they were out of reach. I think we are deep inside Mellow Forest.
