Sarah Barelies POV
As I sat curled on the floor of my office pantry, I recalled the time I started here, a year ago. When I found out I was accepted to work in Maple Tree Corp I was elated. I celebrated it with my best friend, Kristy, my parents, my elder brother, and his fiancée.
Having had to live in the shadows of my brother, who was an achiever both academically and sports, was taking its toll on my mental health. He bagged a scholarship for his MBA, completed it, and got engaged to his fiancée. As for me, I tried so hard, keeping up a fake smile to try to impress my parents. They did not compare me or told me off, but I could see the glimmer of admiration and the softer look they threw at my brother whenever they talked to him or talk about him to other people.
