Lake

Planets colonized by humans were usually classified on the basis of levels from one to five. Level one planets were usually extremely inhospitable planets that had a few human bases for research or for the collection of important research.

Level two planets were somewhat hospitable, while Level three planets were equivalent to Earth of the past - having significant amount of resources, a conducive atmosphere and gravity close to that of earth allowing for the residence of several billion residents without much strain on supply chains.

Level four and level five planets were considered paradise planets. They often were extremely rich in resources, abundant even and could be considered to be super earths.

This classification was quite approximate. Most planets did not fall into these five levels so cleanly. Oa was a planet between levels two and three. It was an Earth like planet, but it had many areas which were not very hospitable, as well as challenges to human society - both geographical and biological.

At this moment, Will was gliding through dense canopy ridden forests that refused to let the light reach the surface. Aria was closely following behind him. The two had been constantly running deep into this large forest for several days, afraid of being targetted again by people like Jin Sola.

The two suddenly found the canopy clearing up as in front of them a large clean lake appeared. The lake was extremely calm and the waters were icy still. The water had a turquoise hue to it, but at the same time it was so transparent you could easily see the floor underneath the lake.

The lake bed was filled with extremely smooth pebbles of a finely chiselled and formless circular shape. The calmness of the lake affected the surroundings. There was no hint of a breeze and even the leaves of trees did not move.

Aria saw this lake and was immediately mystified. The lake was extremely calm and she felt like her energy arts were running much more smoothly as she was standing right beside the lake.

"This lake is very mysterious. I can run my energy arts more freely here!" Aria explained to Will.

Will raised an eye. After some time, he began practicing the clean body tablet's exercises. Since the area near the lake was devoid of trees, Will could finally bask in the sun's rays as he performed the exercises. He discovered no changes to his exercises effectiveness because the lake.

"It possibly only affects energy art users." Will thought to himself as he once again secreted out a lot of Primordial Demon blood. Shaking his head as he observed the disgusting ree colored goo, Will walked up to the lake and washed his body.

However, the moment he touched the lake, a bone chilling cold aura permeated his body, causing him to reflexively pull his hand away from the water in shock. He felt like his hand had numbed like it had received frostbite, and when he closed his eyes and looked inside his body, he found that an icy cool liquid had coated the bones of his hands with the icy liquid.

Seeing this Will frowned. He wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing. Was this water containing some kind of ice based toxin that attacked the bones?

"Don't touch the water, there seems to be something wrong with it." Will said cautiously. Aria looked at Will's fingers which were slowly recovering from frost bite and raised her eyes as well.

She took out a small spherical ball made of a bronze colored material and flung it into the lake. The ball began rotating rapidly in the water for some time before a mechanical voice began explaining.

"Supercooled Water, absolute temperature 100 Kelvin, contains trace amounts of ice attribute toxin - effect to completely freeze the bones and destroy the body. Danger level - Caution."

The sphere then floated into the air and returned to a box that Aria had removed it from. Will looked at the scene with curiosity, but what the machine analyzed put him into even deeper thought. 100 Kelvin was an extremely low temperature, yet the water was in a liquid state and this was only the temperature on the surface. To compare it, normal water froze at 273 Kelvin!

Will consumed a nutrition packet while observing that no wild creature had neared the water, which in itself was not very perplexing knowing how dangerous the water in this lake was.

"What is that spherical object?" Will asked.

"It is a device my teacher has created. He said that the natural water bodies of Oa were mildly unusual and came to do research on them." Aria explained.

Will didn't reply. He now wanted to remove that icy substance from his bones. He began practicing the clean body exercises again. As he performed the set of nine exercises with the implemented breathing rhythm, he felt that the sun turned a burning gaze towards his body.

The fragments split off from the Life Wheel and began to rapidly melt away. At the same time, Red discovered that the cold aura on his finger bones was quickly being peeled away by a strong coercive force that came from the sun. The melted icy aura, along with the red blood were quickly excreted out of his body.

Outside Aria saw that Will's body was emitting extremely cold blood colored fumes that evaporated into the air and disappeared. Will suddenly became clean and devoid of the gooey blood that was on his skin earlier.

Will, on the other hand wasn't too concerned about Ariaa's reactions. He was sensing his bones by closing his eyes and found that the bones had returned to normal. He sighed in relief.

"The Clean Body Tablet's exercises are truly marvelous and seem to be able to clean all such impurities. If I develop the true Clean Body, would I become immune to poisons?" Will wondered secretly.

He turned towards Aria. "This place isn't safe. We should move away from the lake."

Aria looked unwilling with the lake offering her such a tempting place to practice energy arts, but she remembered that Will did not have much time. "You don't have a lot of time left, let us rush to towards your goal." She said. "I have geotagged this location on my console. I will come back here later with teacher."

The two quickly left the scene, turning further inside the jungle and all signs of movement around the lake disappeared. At that moment, the surface of the lake contorted into a face, staring at the back of the disappearing Aria with a curious gaze.

"How curious." The face thought to itself.

Gradually, if someone observed carefully, they would notice that the water was all coagulating together and converging into a cocoon like shape. The lake disappeared as all the water converged into the cocoon. The cocoon gradually distorted and turned into a woman.

The woman looked extremely beautiful, and the lack of clothes on her body made her extremely seductive. Her hair was blue, as were the irises of her eye and her lips had a blue tint to them. The nails on her fingers were also blue.

The woman seemed to be converging within what would be an extremely dangerous aura of extreme coldness. The woman suddenly disappeared in the direction of the escaping duo Will and Aria.
